Hey Everyone,

We were asked to do re-medicals today.

Have people done them recently? I wonder how long it takes from the time you do the medical, to the time VO gets the results??


Will my husband make it home by Christmas??


Also, does it matter if we do medicals in UK or Bucharest?

He is currently in UK, but our visa office is Bucharest.


Wondering which is faster or more beneficial. His first one was done in Bucharest.

Hi there.

Whichever panel physician you use they will (and should) submit the results of your medical electronically, and CIC should receive them straight away.

There is no difference in where you do your medical, except for price. I know that it is quite expensive to have the medical done in the UK (obviously depends on where in the UK you are). You may find it is cheaper to have it done in Bucharest.

The price is extremely different!!

I thought that the medicals would be in the range of $200 USD since that's the cost in Canada, and it was the same in Romania.

It's more than 300 GBP in the UK!!! more than double the price!!!!

You'd think this is a standard process with standard pricing. It's highway robbery! Especially since we have no choice to take the exam.

It will cost just ask much to fly to Bucharest and back to do the medical exam so we're just going to do it in the UK.
