We will be at a year next week, and we just got the interview request. We are not worried about an actual interview, but it is a bit of a blow to have to wait so many months more. I think we are looking at at least 6-8 months? Of course we chose to have the interview in Trinidad because of the difficulty of getting a visa for Mexico. If that fact has changed, someone please let me know.
We had photos going back 10 years. We have been married almost 2 years...so just goes to show you never know.

So sorry to hear about the interview. Normally it would be a minor inconvenience but its a much different story now having to wait for a date and travel. It sounds like POS is quite backlogged but maybe they've caught up and you'll get in soon. Keep us posted.

If there has anyone that has done the interview in Trinidad and knows what happens next with the passport etc, please post here. Is it possible to get the visa at the end of the interview as what happened before in Havana? Or does everyone return to Cuba to await further news?

Still no interview for you..not easy. Do you know if the whole file will be sent to POS for processing now? Or do they just do the interview part there?
The wait is really tough but it sounds hopeful they may issue visas on the spot. Fingers crossed!

We are at 16 1/2 months
Interview date is Nov 7
How long from the time you responded saying you would attend, to the time you got the date? I just hope we get a date quickly - I can't plan other vacations, Christmas etc until I know when I am spending money on the trip to POS. I hope your interview goes well!

8 weeks and 2 days

Look, the folks in Mexico are completely overwhelmed and it’s not their fault that the process is so slow.

Patience to everyone, this too shall pass.
