HI, Sorry Sorry..New here. I was wondering if anyone has used a consultant. My situation is a bit complicated. I was married in Cuba in nov 2015, I have a Cuban daughter 6yrs old (not my wife's daughter), my wife has a daughter 19 yrs old (not my daughter). we have both been married before. I think I need a consultant as the information online seems to be for more standard situations and I do not want my application to be rejected because it is incomplete, or missing something.
Hi, yes we used a consultant as well as many other couples. Were are you located, perhaps ppl could make you recomondations via private message. The one we used is in Toronto but I know of one in Ottawa also.

Thank you. No I'm not going to get him. Id like to but i just got back from Cuba end of May. He's going to have to do it himself. Lol.

Well, our spouses are quite capable of being independent. They have had to grow up so fast there. I heard going through immigration in Canada is very easy so I am sure your husband will do great. So happy for you.

No clue. And not go back. That they will contact us/lawyer with the decision. Most awful stressful feeling yet :(

I'm so sorry you both have to wait to here.

I used a lawyer Mexican in toronto.

Yes this is hard to wait me and Karen waiting :(

Always try to think positive and strong

:)

You don't need a lawyer or consultant to charge you a lot of money for something simple.
I've been in Canada for over26 years. I've sponsored my mom and siblings. I know what we went through. I made a mission to help anyone who needs sponsorship help filling out these forms.

Over the years I have done over 200 spousal sponsorship applications from various different countries, including Cuba, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Kenya, Egypt, Syria, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Uganda, Ethiopia, UAE and UK. All applications are the same. Some small differences, but they're more less the same.

I've only had 3 rejections and two of them were over turned by appeal. Appeal takes too long.

I'm here to help if anyone needs help. It's free. Absolutely free. Friendship is priceless. I don't charge a penny. After all is complete and you reunite with your spouse, you'll owe me a beer or two. :)

Good morning everyone, it has been a while since I have posted. We are now about to file papers for my husband's son to come to Canada. Does anyone here have any experience or advice?

I have been reading every post since this page was opened (I know, nerd alert). The original people are gone now but I would love to know who everyone is, where abouts you are from and how long you have been waiting. If you want to share, of course. It is nice to see we are not alone in this waiting game. I was married in September, sent my application in February and I am now patiently waiting. I currently live in Barrie, Ontario.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

Hi there,
I seem to be on a similar time frame to you as well. My application was received on January 27, 2016 and I was approved as a sponsor by the middle of March. The file reached Havana on March 31st. And now we wait. And wait.
Cheers

That makes about 4 of us with similar time lines but you are ahead of us other three. It will be nice to watch all of us advance.

Hey everyone...so it's been 3 weeks since husband has been in Canada. He got a job a week after he got here. The transition has been smooth for the most part but certainly had a few bumps along the way. He is adjusting well but still misses his family. I am sure that will get better with time. We are moving into a condo for Aug 1st (currently residing at my parents) but so far so good. I hope all of you hear soon. If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me. I will certainly help anyone that I can.

Hey MrsV
