I have head people didn't even have the note medical results received and updated untill after their Husbands were here , it depends on who is working on your file and if they update it online or not

Thank you so much for responding to my question. No one before tried to help me understand. I appreciate it Ap789. I feel better now. Have a good evening.

Our application was denied March 22,2016. We have filed for an appeal however it will take place in Montreal and the wait time could be 2-3 years. We are considering reapplying. Just wondering if anyone has done that with success.

So still to this day I have not heard anything about Havana saying they received the medical form as it was sent and put in at the same time as the rest of the application. Havana has only put on the immigration site that they started to view the application on April 6th and I already know of two people who sent their application two weeks later than mine and they have confirmation that Havana has their medical forms almost a month ago or so already. What does this mean?
For those who had no interview did you receive something saying medical form was in after a month or so or did it take a long time for them to put that up? :-\ ???

I WOULD JUST EMAIL THEM AND ASK IF EVERYTHING IS OKAY WITH THE FILE... THEY WILL ANSWER YOU!

Anyone hear anything recently? My husband got the call and needs to be in Havana June 21st.

How long was the file in Havana ??

Congrats to all who have received their visas and to those who have gotten dates for that all important interview I wish you success.

We have decided to reapply and I will be asking for help regarding some questions I have about the answers to questions on the forms as many of them have been updated since we applied in July 2014.

We made the decision based on the fact that there were some mistakes given on the denial email reasons as well as having to wait 2-3 years for an appeal date. The cost of a lawyer $2500-3000=hst plus $1040 for the application and $65 cuc for a new Police Certificate(4th one) and a new Medical (3rd)$405cuc.

I am retired and have cut my expenses to the bone and I just can not afford a lawyer.

So I ask for help and patience as I go through this process once more.

Your file was in Havana for 10 months or the whole process was 10 months? Some people on here get a visa after 5 months, some longer. I wonder why.

Once the visa is issued in Havana, is there any other fees (besides the $1040 here in Canada and of course the plane ticket) that need to be paid before they can leave?

the only other costs in Havana might be a new Police certificate it the old one is expired.
