Roll Call ~ so where is everyone in their process? March 2nd will mark 6 months in Havana. Waiting for a call for interview

Well we're 6 months in as of this month. We've heard from immigration a few times asking for different things. The latest was a new police record ( this is the third one ) check because they said it was illegible. So a new one has been submitted and they said that they would call my husband in 7 days ...... That was 2 weeks ago.

I was just reading though some posts on here. Some are referring to knowing they are in the final stages. How do you know you are in the final stages?

My husband's police check was ready today, 15 business days from the Havana office. He is on his way to drop it off to the embassy.

That's great, my wife did it last Thursday. :) Waiting for the call now.

hoping to receive word from the embassy in the next week!!!

For myself I knew at 3 months that we were on the list for interview. So now I just wait for a phone call
The embassy told my rep that they are holding all those applications on the interview list to the 10 month mark. So it will be June for us when we get interview hopefully

Hi everyone!
I'm so happy to come across this forum! I've read through the posts and love how supportive and helpful everyone is!
I'm in the early stages, with an end goal of supporting a spouse to Canada and would love some advice and support :)
I'm planning to marry my Cuban boyfriend at the end of April/early May and just want to make sure I have everything in order. I'll just fire away with some questions:
-What are the documents I should have prepared with me when I go to Havana?
-Does anyone know a link for getting the paperwork to fill out proving I've never been married nor had kids? (I heard you can do this provincially if you were born in a province. Although I was born a Canadian citizen and moved/lived in Canada before I was 1...I don't have a birth certificate saying I was born in Canada. Anyone previously in the same boat and know what documents to use?)
- After getting married in Havana is it better to apply for sponsorship when I arrive back in Canada...or can something be started there?
-Any other advice for these confusing first steps??
Again, so pleased to find all your advice and stories here! Thanks in advance for any tips you can share :D

Hello!

I was just curious to find out if any of you know how long it takes to get a Cuban police certificate if we applied through the Consulate in Montreal?

Thanks!
We waited 2.5 weeks after interview to pick up a new police certificate and submit it. We got an email in less than a week after submission for a visa pick up date. So from interview to visa handed exactly one month.

Great news, thanks Alazi, today is exactly a month from the interview and exactly a week from handing in the police certificate, I hope today or tomorrow we get a call or email, or at the latest early next week. :)
