I received my wife's police certificate in September I finished application in November. Embassy is now asking for a new police certificate today. I know there was a rile change October first. So whatvisbthr difference is it only the receipt that is needed or is the new document different?

Sounds like the police check has expired and they are requesting a new one. perhaps good news for you and your spouse as they may be at the end of their file review.

As of October 2015 the Police Contract is mandatory to be submitted with the Police Background Check, so if you didn't submit it in November (which would have been required) that is perhaps what they want.

Anyone have any news this week from Havana?

Well i hope it is good news. I just started the application. They asked for schedule A and police check nothing more.

Can someone tell me the address in Havana for the police check also what was the turn around time in Havana to receive the new police certificate. So I know how long she has to wait for.

Consultoria Juridica
Calle 22 No. 108 e/ 1ra y 3ra Miramar, Playa

It's near the Canadian Embassy. My spouse did his this month and it takes about 17 days.

17 days. I read someone for it in 2-3 days? Was that the first time. I already have the police check I guess I only need the contract and receipt.

About 17 days is right, we are on the 3rd week waiting for the police check.

Luigui- where did your spouse request the police check? my husband requested his in Havana..they said the wait is either 17 days or 25 so if it's not ready Friday we have to wait another 8 days...

In Habana, my wife was told it is 15 working days (three weeks), this Friday will be three weeks, she just called and hour ago and nothing yet, this Thursday will be three weeks from her interview as well and she was told they will call in a week or in a month, but of course they won't call back till they get this darn document. Wait, wait and wait, quite an ordeal this process.

Can someone tell me if the contract and receipt for the police record check needed to be translated to English ?

You submit it as it is, no translation.

Thank you! She managed to get the contract and receipt same day! Sometimes Cuba works the way you want it too. (Usually not) lol
