You should hear within a few weeks if an interview is required and then at least another week for your date and four weeks until your interview u could be about six to eight weeks away still. I am leaving monday morning to see my husband until October 31st. His interview is on Nov 5

I was told my husband would get an interview no sooner then February 2016- our 10 months is in January 2016- also the file status changed "In process" ..so we wait. I expect that he will be notified in January with his interview date. Happy Thanksgiving All.

I already received an answer to an email I sent Havana stating he is in line for an interview no date though.

same here.but they did not say february???? that is why im surprised. they gave me not forecast....did any one else get a forecast of hen their interview may be?

I knew at the 4 months mark that we would do an interview (answer from Havana). At the 6 month mark we knew that it would be either next month or in the beginning of next year.. we had change in status to In Process today. We'll see what happens.

Hello all, I haven't posted here before but I have been following. My husbands file has been in Havana since April 2nd. Today we also changed to in process. I do have a question how do ppl now they are having an interview prior to the 10 month mark? I emailed Havana two weeks ago and they told me that our file was being assessed, no mention of an interview.

My MP found that out at the 8 month mark in Havana and I emailed Havana at 9 months after it was in Havana. I suppose it depends as well on who is replying to the emails in Havana. Eariler in the process after it was in Havana I just received an email that it was in process and to wait until it was at 10 months. My MP also warned me that when they Inquired it could delay the process.

Not everyone gets an interview. If there are no red flags you bypass an interview. 10 months is what it's looking like these days however that's not written in stone. TS on a case by case basis

You are correct not everyone gets an interview from what I hear In our case we figured we would get one after seeing what some people said were red flags. Having a relative in the USA, age difference and none of my family at the wedding due to other commitments at home and the age of my parents and the fact that we were both married before. I hope that being married for two years now and travelling every few months to Cuba( takes me 2 days to get there ) and living with him in a casa for 3 months, washing his clothes by hand , shopping and cooking the Cuban way shows our commitment to this marriage.

**I NEED YOUR HELP**

Currently, I have a friend staying with my husband and I. Said friend is having problems with the sponsored spouse and yesterday "dated OCTOBER 12/2015" received a letter from CIC asking to provide proof that they are still in a relationship.

A few things strike me to be 'STRANGE' about his letter.

1. It was dated OCTOBER 12/ 2015 (Thanksgiving Day Monday - AREN'T CANADIAN OFFICES CLOSED THAT DAY?)
2. It came from Niagara Office? We live in Ontario, shouldn't we be getting letters from Mississauga?

Has anyone ever seen a letter like this before? is this standard? or is this because the spouse reported the break-up?

Thanks,
Dory

Yesterday the offices were definately closed!unless they wrote it before. either way , if they wrote the letter yesterday how would she get it the same day?? doesnt make sense.

Hi , hope everyone hd a great thanks giving! i have a question fro everyone waiting on interviews.....
have you been told that you have been oput on the waiting list for interviews??? if so , when they tell you that , how long after do they come back and actually give you the appointment.
and also, once they tell you youir file has been placed on the witing list for interview, does this mean its complete??? no more requests???

madameR i was just thinking about this too, i do believe that the file has been reviewed and no further information would be required, with the excepetion of CIC asking for the sponsored spouse to bring proof of relationship to the interview to share. i was specifically told that my husband would not receive an interview before February 2016. i believe we have the same timelines, so i suspect the interviews for our husbands will be within the same period..but thats just a guess.

hey everyone...just a side note - I heard that they have hired all new embassy staff in Havana... thus the wait being a little longer than usual. I wouldn't worry... chances are they are just following new protocol. Fingers Crossed you all hear something soon!!

Thanks!
