We got the call from the embassy!!!! My husband has been asked to get pictures taken and to present himself on Tuesday with passport and pics! I have my fingers crossed!!! Have a nice day!!

did your online status change on the CIC website? did the havana embassy send u anything in the mail or email or did ur husband just get a call today?? im asking because your outline sounds exactly like mine and im hoping all we need is a call too

Hey there!! what are your dates so far? and do you live in Quebec? nope no update in the CIC website still says application received as the status! nothing from the embassy they usually do it by mail i presume and most times a letter arrives after the spouse is in Canada! So I dont expect any mail nor email from the embassy.. and im pretty sure they called him in for the visa since they asked for the pictures and had it been for missing information we would have been contacted earlier i think and had asked him to bring it with him! let me know about you! ive been dying for people to clarify stuff for me but just never landed on the right answer so dont be shy and ask away!

hi Natasha...my file was transfered I am assuming sometime in March, i never officially got a confirmation , only confirmation i got was for my approval for sponsoring March 7th, no im in ontario, not qc, but my online status has been showing application recieved (same day when i sent my pkg ) and that medical results have been recieved..nothing else...so who knows... i havent gotten real confirmation my file is in the VO ..hoping its like your scenario im sure your spouse will be getting his visa next week!

Like I said I wouldn't rely too much on the online cic website cause mine is still the same! At least since u live in Ontario you didn't have the extra step that is needed for Quebec! So my approval for sponsoring was on the 31 of December 2012! I have looked everywhere to find it if we actually can know if and when the file has been transferred! No luck for that, cic just says give it a month to transfer but I don't know how reliable that is! Hang in there! It was quite fast for us no interviews, and about four month since the the approval till the call!

yeah probable but if you go thru all the pages (which i already did and it was really helpful!!) seems like almost everyone got husband/wife here already lol so thats probably like no one post anymore i just believe We should keep it going since we still on the process, CIC Mississauga received my file on March 27,I received my AOR on April 16,and my SA on April 23,they send they sent my file to havana.

yeah i can image how good it feels to be with your loved one and now forever no more trips to cuba for couples of weeks and then back, now its forever,

Hello i have a question i hope some one in here can answer,I didnt fill out the information about my husbands military service, i already got approved here and application is now in cuba,We have all the papers the he passed the military services and all i just forgot to include that because i filled the application and after i was finished he sended the info to me when the application was already on its way to CIC Missisuaga, do you think they will just denied him the visa in cuba , or will they ask for the military services papers or they just look for it on a computer or anything ? My father was sponsored to come to canada too and he passed military service but he didnt put the info in the application and they never ask anything about it but still im scared :-[

A good friend of mine had her application processed quickly. She submitted in mid July '12 and he landed in March of '13. He was able to be there for the birth of his son! A happy story. I am in the process of writing my application. My fiancé and I are getting married in July in Cienfuegos. I will be submitting our application after we have our marriage documents. I hope it is a smooth process. The waiting feels like an eternity but it is inspiring to read success stories. Thank you for creating this thread!
