When I was preparing my papers for our marriage, I found a great Spanish speaking lawyer in Toronto that also does translations. He had everything prepared for me in 24hrs completed, notarized everything. I then went to the Cuban Consulate and they legalized everything for me then and there. The Consulate fees came to 760.00 - for me.
The lawyer is also going to translate all the Cuban documents for us for CIC application.

Hello Double Rainbow,

As a last resort you can take pictures of the messages as they appear on your phone. I had a very old phone at the time and there was not way of e-mailing the texts, so I sat with my camera and took pictures of each message. I will be honest it took forever and it was a lot of pictures to send in, but it worked. Not ideal, but an option.

I'm having the same trouble with saving text messages. But our major choice of communication is with Facebook Chat. Hubby is fortunate to have access to it through his job. We don't post anything publicly but take full advantage of the Chat - I have saved and downloaded our conversations since April 2012. I have estimated that there are over 2000 pages to print out -

new here, need some info... my husband was currently in a relationship (common law if you will ) prior to us getting involved...however im not sure if i state him being as "single" on our application or "common law" because he has there soltera paper already meaning his single status...even though they share a child together, can we just leave it as single? although they did reside in the same house for 7 years... i am a bit confused...
please help

you don't need a photocopy of it...if you have one great but as long as you put the number in the application you are fine...same with passport...not required as long as you put details in the application.....

so yes you should claim his common law status...but technically speaking he does do the single status affidavit because he was not legally married....the affidavit states that you have not been married....its all legalese!!!

I am so sorry I have been absent! It has been a crazy 2 weeks. EVERYONE wants to visit with us before we leave! Doh! And then finding time to pack. We are finally off tomorrow. All the best to you and your family reunited the way it should be Sassy. So happy for you. Spoke to DIL yesterday and she says the weather is very nice but she misses her husband. Hopefully getting closer every day to hearing some news. Enjoy every second together in Cuba
