any airline, preferabbly Air canada as they issue one way , as well as Cubana, we are flying from Holguin

I have been looking at westjet from Varadero. I Found out that you cannot catch a charter flight one way from Cuba. So really the only airlines is Air Canada,WestJet and cubana. Where is your spouse flying too? mine is having to fly to Toronto and then to Calgary.

toronto is our place!

forget the charters, u cant do em....cubana and air canada for sheduled airlines where u can buy the one way ticket at the local agency in cuba...
westjet is great too but they dont have any flights into holguin until I think october or november....but im hoping i dont have to wait that long and im hoping its going to be within the next few weeks!!

My wife lives in Perico, which is about 1 hr from Varadero. A person would go through Cardenas and perico is east of colon. So that is the closest airport for her.

When she lands in Toronto, she will have to go through immigration there? Is that correct?

When was your app sent to Havana? and do you know when they started looking at it?

They started looking at mine on April 2nd. So it has been 3/12 months since they opened my app.

Yes she willdo all the immigration stuff in toronto airport then fly out to YYC...
My timeline is like yours. April 2nd recieved aor and june 25 embassy contactds my spouse for
A revision on one of the forms an thats it so i know we are closer then ever!
Maybe your wife and mine will get call on the same day!

You may do it from here.. Although sometimes it is cheaper at destination
With CuC! I am going to do it with depending which airline i take from here.
But just wait, since u dont know the exact date she is able to leave...
Thats the easiest part... Getting the ticket for them!

i was wonderign what you asked when you emailed the embassy becuase i emailed them twice and have not recieved any reply as yet.... still waiting been 2 weeks...

just to get an idea! im kinda getting impatient and i know we are so close to the finalization!

Did you get a response from immigration yet after you emailed them again?

They received our appplication on February 14, 2013 and I was approved as a sponsor on March 12. My husband got the call from Havana on July 9 for an interview on July 16. He was not asked one question and he was given his visa that day! We are more then thrilled! I know for everyone that is still waiting it is more then difficult not knowing when this process is going to end but know your call is coming soon. I felt like our call was never coming and we had prepared for late fall or even early winter for him to get to Canada.
Hope this gives everyone a glimmer of hope that Havana is working on your application and you will soon be reunited with your loved one!
