Not the same. What I did was phone revenue canada and when you get a 'live' person tell them you need an Option C printout for 2011 tax year for Immigration purposes. I would get it on right away as it takes a couple weeks to receive it.

Chickenkiev, thank-you so much. I have contacted CRA and it is on its way. I was told by CRA it may take 10-15 business days to arrive.

Pretty bad here in the city. Hubby and I all cuddled up, cooking and watching movies.
Made chicken soup with dumplings and he went crazy for it!!!
I've always maintained a super low carb lifestyle for years, and now, the amount of bread we (he) goes through in a week is more than I used to eat in a month lol.
But makes me happy to see him enjoying the food lol.

That is all they said. He will be going on January 31st. I have no idea what this means....I would love to keep in touch.

It's certainly a blustery day! I walked to work this morning at 8am! The winds were at 90km gusts! I was joking with my co-workers saying that I dare not tell hubby about the weather today, as he may change his mind. He gets chilled at 16C

I am so happy to have seen your post, I am in the same boat. My husband is in Cuba as well. He didn't receive a letter, but he received a phone call asking him to bring his passport and 2 pictures. That is all they said. He will be going on January 31st. I have no idea what this means....I would love to keep in touch.

Yes, it's a view issue. CONGRATULATIONS!! I'm was in disbelief too... I'm still not saying much until the Visa is in his hands. haha. I called CIC call center and read him my reps email and told him what they said, and he told me it was not an interview, but the Visa because they are required to tell them it's an interview if it is... soo... phew dodged that bullet!! I am relieved because I am OUT OF MONEY to go back ! If I go back to get him I can't do it until end of February. I don't want to wait any more! I'll send him on a plane alone. I have WestJet credit for 1 flight !! I think he can leave Feb 11. Going to ask the Embassy if we can bring daughter later.

I spent this entire weekend organizing and cleaning everything. His closet is cleaned out... ;D

I am trying to stay calm, this is very un-expected, if this is really what it is, my husband will be here for the birth of our baby...we thought he wouldn't be. Do you know if he will receive the COPR at the same time? Can we just buy a ticket and they can come? Cubans don't need the exit visa anymore, so it should be much faster that way...right? Ahhhhhhhh

Laritza and I just returned this evening from travels to the Ottawa area to visit family. We have been gone since last Wed. I just popped on to catch up.

Exciting news for Mr. KJG! He is on his way to pure independence!

DDG...finally you accept the news!!! LOL Relax and enjoy the next few weeks of you time before you have to kick into full time wifey mode!

This week we HAVE to hear from Havana for Sandy....girl I got good feelings for you.

Welcome to Emily. Do you care to share a lil about you and your hubby? Where is he from? Where are you from? How long have you been together? When did you submit and get stage 1 approval? It sounds like VERY promising news for you for Jan 31! Congrats!

A big shout out to all the other ladies, please keep on keepin' us posted on whatchu doin' ! : ) I love when we hear from Shu and Avana! We miss you but totally get your absence : )

I am getting very excited about our trip...it is now sinking in that we will be together in 9 days ( when I wake up tomorrow it will be 9 days ) Hubby has completely renovated our washroom for me. I mean he gutted the whole thing out and re-did it! He has been sending pictures and it is sooo beautiful! He even installed the most beautiful counter for all my toiletries and make up! I am spoiled!! I do not even have a counter in my bathroom here! LOL Did I ever tell you ladies how one of my first gifts from Hubby was a toilet seat?!?! No lies...I was soo friggin' touched! jajajajaja it really is the small things they do that leave the biggest impact!

Lastly...big hugs to Dbl Rainbow. We miss you on here and when you are ready come back just to check in and let us know that you are as KJG says gearing up for a big fight for the appeal. You said it best yourself Dbl....it ain't over until it is over!

Happy Monday everyone. It's been a busy month so far. Between year-end audit and getting my place ready for hubby arrival on Feb 7; time is flying by. Couple of things planned for when he arrives; he'll be attending a conference with me in Toronto for 3 days; already arranged his tour guide. Also a friend and him will be going to Monster Jam in April. Have a temp job arranged; then hopefully he'll find work in town. Being a cook hopefully it won't be too difficult.

We are both excited and nervous for Feb 7th. I won't believe it till I see him walk thru the airport doors. My maid of honor's daughter has done up a banner for the airport and we have "canada flags".

What kind of rice should I buy for him? I have minute rice but don't know if that'll cut it...... ;D. He's a big pasta lover with Alfredo Sauce so I'll make sure I have that.

Emily welcome to the group. Sassylassie you must be getting so excited; it'll be here before you know it. DDG yeah.......For those with your hubby I'm excited for you and enjoy reading your updates. Dble Rainbow I hope the process has started for your appeal. Those still waiting for the call; hopefully this week.

hello everyone I am getting married in Varadero leaving Canada May 4 2013 to be with future hubby. Nervous but also excited feeling overwhelmed at times by all the paperwork to be done before and after the wedding but organized with my copies of text messages, phone calls, copies of trips to Cuba and assorted paperwork.

We received our call on January 17th and he is to present himself on January 31st. We have not received a letter, nor has our status changed to decision made. Our status states that his medical was received, but there is no date stamp. So not sure it's an approval. Just waiting to see what happens next week. Keeping my fingers crossed. Are you applying from Quebec? I was under the impression if was a bit different there? I'll keep you posted when I know more. Emily
