Just out of sheer curiosity, has anyone visited the CIO office to drop off an application in person or to inquire about something?

You know what! That is exactly what I was thinking about couple weeks ago! I don't think it's possible to do such though! The office should be accessible for personnel only I guess.

Must be. Nevertheless .... I'm curious!!!

I guess they picked Sydney NS so that people would leave them alone :)

Haha! True. What if they had an office in Vancouver or Toronto? :P I can only imagine ;)

WOW. I am surprised that no one has tried to visit CIO office. :o I thought that there'd be at least one or someone would know someone who did ...

It's a way to give people jobs. If you notice most of the working class in faraway areas are government workers.

There is a CIC Office for Citizenship applications here at Yonge/St. Claire. They just have a drop-box for applications, if anyone prefers to do so instead of mailing-in to this office. I would guess it's the same with Sydney.

Yeah, possibly.

hahaha office that doesn't exist :)

^Which one?
I dropped-off a Citizenship application for a friend at the Yonge/St. Claire offices; this was Jan 2013.

According to wikipedia the total population of Sydney Nova Scotia is 31, 597 as of 2011. Well ... I can now understand why the processing is so slow. They must be short staffed!!!!
