Just that really...

I was told 6-8 weeks when I landed but there's since been talk that this is now taking longer. I was wondering if those if us told 6-8 weeks are still within that timeframe.

haha ya, I landed in Sept and got the card in last week of Dec!

It's 87 days.

If you call them after the 87 ++++++ days pass by, they will tell you that there is an 'extension' ~2 weeks, for the Card processing centre. Honestly do not bother with calling the call centre...

For new landings or for everyone? At the time I landed the average was 6-8 weeks. I wondered if that would be honoured or if we have slid into the 3 month pile.

That doesn't fill me with hope, MaryLou :/

Hmm... that's not the news I wanted to hear, I really need my driver's licence.

Did you try to use your COPR for your license? and present the stamp in your passport from landing. worth a shot I guess

Yes, and I have a paper interim licence but the problem I have is that I'm heading to the UK at the beginning of March and need to rent a vehicle. I can't do that without a proper BC licence (photocard).

Yea BC has a policy that you must have the actual PR card, and they take your old license, so you are stuck with an interim license.

Yeah I know. I didn't see it as being a problem, especially when ICBC said that if i don't receive my PR cars just take my COPR back to them and they'll issue another interim licence. It wasn't until I thought about hiring a vehicle that I realised I have (potentially) a problem.

I have landed on 31st October and still waiting for my PR card. I really driving license but don't know if MB accepts landing documents.
2) is I have to cross border to attend a family wedding but don't know if I can enter back in Canada without PR card.

Any advice please!!

Thanks

Do you have a licensing office close by? I found the licencing centre near me to be really helpful.
