I have to disagree because although facebook may not be as strong as an affidavit or some other type of legal paper, it still carries weight in that it shows that your family and friends are aware of your relationship. Also facebook can show that your relationship has progressed over time by showing dates of your postings about each other.
just to make it clear: CIC is not going to visit your facebook website or any other website. all evidence needs to be in the envelope as it will be filed and archived. As mentioned, fb can be evidence but it's a comparably weak one.
why wouldn't you send 3-4 affidavits (formal or informal but including phone, address, signature; optional picture that shows couple and friends) from friends that supports your application instead?
If you're unsure, you'd better put all evidence in the envelop that you have...
our application was very light (compared to others) as we focused on strong supporting material. we had around 25 pics, 4 affidavits and flight tickets from 2-3 trips. even though we've been together for about 1 years and married only for 2 months at the time, lived in apart in different countries for about 50% of the time, come from complete different cultural backgrounds the application went through very smoothly within 2.5 months. however, at the end of the day, it's the overall picture that counts.
I just feel like it would help because we've lived in our apartment for about a year and a half, but we took care of the bills separately. Electricity is in my name, Internet is in his, Netflix is in mine...
same building, same apartment number? where's the problem? it's equivalent to a joint address. if you have a joint bank account, include it. life insurance with your partner as main beneficiary is also a good indicator....
you got to be critical and see your evidence from an external/neutral position. Would you be convinced if this was someone else's application? if you're not sure you might also have someone else go through it...
