Has anyone tried to contact Canadian MP to help speed up SDS applications in India
Lot of tweets by students addressed to the minister of immigration, but I don't think that has made a difference. Only the high commission knows how they are processing the files :(

MPs cannot speed up the processing of applications.

MPs represent individuals who are living in Canada so it generally doesn't make any sense to be contacting an MP if you are living outside of Canada.

Fill webform you will get results I have make querry of late processing and got medical as Aug 2020 files transmitted now

If I ask someone from Canada to write on the person in India’s behalf - then!? Also will it help in convining the uni to let the student enter a bit later ?
It will not help. You are not living in Canada nor are you a citizen or PR. Still will not expedite process. Why would MP get involved in the university?

MPs can speed-up processing of GCMS notes though. Use fax over email or twitter. They always respond to faxes. Yes, even if you're not a cittzen, not a resident they'll help with with expedition of GCMS. Not all MPs, but most will. Again, fax is key.

In most cases, MP will ask for the postal code to validate you are resident in their constituency. other federal MPs office send you form to fill your details and give them written consent to make consent on your behalf. I wonder how this works if applicant is a resident or citizen. I dont have experience with GCMS notes though, that being said....

Given how busy IRCC is getting a response if you are experiencing normal processing times is pretty difficult. IRCC is asking MPs to limit inquiries to situations where there is a true problem not just a delay.
