Has anyone sent additional documents to Ottawa office?

hi frieneds,
Has anyone tried sending additional documents to Ottawa office ? i want to send employment letter whch i didn't send in my original application ? (Note - they havent asked me to send any documents, i am sending it as an additional doc)
Will they take that document and include it in my application ?
Should I send a mail or fax ?

I did and they will send you an acknowledgement, example as below:

I sent them an additional letter as well. But I mailed it. It was few months ago, just contemplating now if I should send an e-mail as well.

I emailed my extra unsolicited docs and got a polite 'thanks, an officer will be in touch for next steps'.
My AOR specifically said to only send things once and as email is my preferred form of correspondence that's what i did.
What's your AOR say?

thanks guys.. my AOR didnt say anything like this .. BTW, i just mailed them the docs ..i would be sending email as well and attach the doc...i wasn't sure they will take printouts and add that to file? that will be too polite for an officer.. that's why mailed it first ..

I recently renewed my passport and I emailed CPP-O a copy of the bio pages of the new passport two days ago. I haven't received any acknowledgement or response. How long did it take before they got back to you?
