Hi , I have got overall IELTS score of 7.5 and just 6 bands in writing.

I performed really well in that section and I was super confident to get at least 7 bands. If I get 7 bands in writing, this will increase my CRS to 469 and will have a fair chance of getting ITA soon.

Should, I go for re-evaluation for this particular section?

Just take a CELPIP. CELPIP is much easier...

Pre-Assessed..
If you are confident then go for revaluation it will take 8-10 weeks,
i too got 6 in writing and opted for revaluation and guess what my writing score was upgraded to 7 .
So go for it

it is entirely up to you. I was also stuck at 6.5 bands in writing. But I applied for revaluation and after 1.5 months I received increment of 0.5 band in writing which bumped my CRS by full 57 points. But I just required an increment of 0.5 bands in writing. Its always a 50-50 chance. However, increment of 1 full band in writing might have lesser chance for obvious reason. But you never know. If you are confident that you wrote well, then Go ahead with revaluation. Atmost you will loose 7950 bucks if the revaluation result doesnt turn out to be in your favour. But if your bands are increased, you will get your revaluation fee back.

However, I also advice you to book another IELTS slot simultaneously, if your current CRS score is lower than possible threshold.

Good luck :)

Hey, I am pretty sure of scoring at least 7 in writing. As my answer was in line with the criteria of marking. I definitely don't deserve 6 in writing. This was my second attempt so, I will go for re-evaluation...I am glad to know that your score actually improve post re-evaluation... Hoping to get mine soon :)
