Has anyone on work permit travelled in and out of canada

guys I wanted to know if someone with valid work permit+job can go out of canada for a month and come back during this time. It is an important work so what is the rule during covid for non PR/citizens.

I had travelled to U.S for a month in June and came back in July. Had to do quarantine for 2 weeks. Immigration officer asked the usual questions related to the job and questions pertaining to self isolation. You'll be allowed to board the flight with a valid work permit but it's entirely at the discretion of the airlines.I have heard that some of the airlines were not allowing people on wp to board.
