Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has had their ADR hearing cancelled to be reschedulet at a later date.
In January 2013 my ADR was scheduled for March 2013, but I received a call last month from IAD that my appointment has been cancelled due to "administrative reasons". Therefore, I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else, and
1. How long would it approximately take to reschedule? and
2. How long in advance do they schedule?

Thanks everyone

yes, I have heard his happen. I dont think it happens a lot. Where will the Appeal be heard and when did you file your papers for appeal ?

Thanks for your swift response,
The appeal will be heard in Ottawa (if the office does not close in April), and I filed for appeal in April 2012.

interesting. There are a few things you can do.

A) call them CIC - but dont expect much from them
B) order GCMS (global case management system) notes
C) ask your MP to enquire whats happening.

Usually ADR is heard in a 'timely fashion" -about 6 months after you file the Appeal. So I do find this a little bit strange but I wouldnt stress too much about it. Just make sure you stay on top of it.

You may want to enquire about timeline to get Hearing In Ottawa. On the bright side.....you filed the Appeal almost a year ago so it shouldnt be too much longer for your case to be heard.

Did you hire a lawyere/Imm consultant for your Appeal ? I highly suggest you do

(I won my Appeal in Toronto August 2012) 8)

I called the MP , not helpful at all reason (governemnt cannot interefere with independent process of IAD - bs!)

I requested and received the notes through information and privacy but those notes are about the process of the application in CPC-M and at the embassy.... not sure if that included GCMS..? If i were to request them now, would this include information of what has been going on with my application at the IAD since the appeal?

I will call CIC and see what they have to say about it..
And as far as hiring someone to help me, I haven't done so yet but I am seriously considering it.

Thanks
