Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi everyone,

Since my previous employer is giving me a hard time giving the exact duties, I wanted to ask you guys if anyone has had luck without job duties?
A lot of people here suggest writing a separate letter/ colleague letter etc. but has anyone really tried this ? or do you know anyone who succeeded doing this?

And god forbid if it doesnt work ,can I reapply immediately?

its very risky since job duties is the criteria CIC uses to determine that you are actually doing the responsibilities of that NOC.
some people have had luck by including a cover letter stating their company wouldn't give them a letter BUT they included letters from managers confirming the duties. sometimes these are on plain paper and not letterhead but usually they can include the manager's business card.
again this is risky though - all in all no one can tell you what will happen as it depends on the visa officer reviewing your file.
you can however apply again if you get rejected - although you obviously want to avoid that.

I get what you are saying, since I have everything ready I want to take a chance. If I apply the second time do you think it will affect my BOWP application? because after a year my work permit will expire.

The HR gave me a basic letter with very generic 2 job duties, and my manager had given a letter with few duties too-BUT those are like 1/3rd of my duties, he was concerned HR will not like him doing this. And that risk my application falling under NOC C rather than B.

I have done more than a year and dont know what to do

once you get your AOR you are eligible for BOWP (if your permit expires within 4 months). That is regardless of whether you apply a first or second time.

The key with this is to make sure there is enough evidence in your paperwork to show the VO that you are performing the right duties for your claimed NOC. They don't assume anything, anything at all so it needs to be as watertight as possible. Add in your HR and your Manager's letter - if they cover the majority of the NOC responsibilities then you have a better chance of being ok.

Is your current employer willing to give a proper letter with duties matching with the NOC that you are applying? If so, Depending on your duration on the current job there are high chances that the application will go through. One of my friend falls in that category.

Yes the current employer is giving a letter however I have been in this job for only 3 months.
whats your friends situation like?
