I have a feeling that most part of the processing of the applications is done in India, And only the final stage or approval is sent from Canada. In India, for Fall Semester there are more applications than previous years because of deferrals from May. So even with the same capacity of the workforce, it takes them longer.

Moreover, if a VISA Officer has worn the mask slightly higher. He would only be able to see half the screen. :)

Might be our files are in diff processing unit not Edmonton and hence taking time
I remember earlier AIP's were issued by Ottawa and all of a sudden Covid cases have shot up on Ottawa again

I just hope to hear from them soon. Because now the patience is getting out of control at least after Knowing that the AIPs are being issued. Why wouldn’t they give out to June applicants who applied in the first week rather give out to those that fall in the last week. Weird.

I have a theory where Canada might want to get X number of students approved. But due to the pandemic there was less than 50% applications submitted than usual. So they might want to hold on to rejections to make sure that they are not short on students to approve at the end.

From where you know about this less than 50% submission? If its true, I dont think they will be anytime this year short on students.
