Has anyone been accepted to UBC, UOttawa, or University of Alberta?

Hello, Hello :)

I'm applying to the above stated schools, so I was just looking for possibly any pointers as to what's important to guarantee myself acceptance, by someone who already has been accepted.

I know of course grades and academic background are important and emailing a possible supervisor gets you points on the positive side.

I'm applying to M.ASc in Civil Engineering to all.
GPA so far 3.4/4

Any advice/help would be very helpful.

Thanks In Advance.

Dear Helina,

Have you been communicating with a supervisor in these schools?

you have a better chances in Uof Ottawa but you will have to secure a supervisor.

I wish to apply for UBC, Msc in CS program ( Deadline 15th dec). They need me to apply Transcripts online while applying. I am yet to apply for transcripts from my previous University and just came to know that it would take around 10 days for them to send me transcripts. This means I would not be able to apply as 10 days from now would be past the deadline given by UBC. However, I have my consolidated mark sheet showing my grades for the entire UG Course. Can I apply by scanning consolidated Mark sheet and later send hardcopy of transcripts ( if i get accepted), as it is stated in their website that we would require to send hardcopy of our transcripts once we get accepted. Please help me.
Thanks.

As far as I know, while applying online we can upload scanned copies of transcript that is unofficial. But once received conditional offer we have to send our official transcript.
Correct me if I am wrong.

What about M.Engg (Internetworking) from Dalhousie University?
Dalhousie University may take longer. I had applied earlier for 3-4 students for Dalhousie but offer didn't come. If you want you can try.

Hi, You have got a very good profile. There are fair chances for you to get offer from uOttawa depending upon the course eligibility and seats availability.
