I too have applied for masters of CS course in Carleton. My status has been 'Preliminary review required ' for more than a month now..

Same here. I asked them about process time in an email, and they told me that right now they're reviewing applications for Fall term. They will start reviewing Winter applications "closer to when the Fall term begins".
