Has anyone applied for CAQ this month and got a document reception notification?

Hello,

I have applied for the CAQ in the first week of this month. However, until now I haven't got a Accuse of documents reception.

I know it takes time as I applied for it before, but we are about a month and nothing new. I just called them and they said that it might take up to 7 weeks ! Because they have delays, seriously ?

I want to know if someone has applied this month and got the CAQ or the Accuse of reception.

They received my physical documents on 20th May. And they haven't notified on my online file. I called them about it and they said that the file will be processed within 30 days. Even on their website it mentions 20 working days. How can they take 7 weeks then. I just had a word with them, hence the basis of my claim. Don't worry buddy, they are legally bound to reply you within 20 working days.

Also, do we need CAQ before filing the VISA, or can we file the VISA with the CAQ file number only.

I am the one who delivered the documents since I am in Montreal, I delivered them on the 6th. I got opening file on the 13th! then nothing new, Last year I got it in 10 days!

I called them and they said they can't decide whether they received my documents or not, I said I am the one who delivered them and I put the documents with my hands in the box, they said I have to wait because to would take up to 7 weeks because they have delays and they are late these days..

For the visa, you will need to attach the E-mail you receive when you get accepted. They will send you an email confirming that your CAQ was accepted hence you can use it in your application until you receive your CAQ by mail which you will need at the airport. The agent will ask you if you have the CAQ.

I applied online on May 2nd send my document and recieved delivery confirmation from my courrier on May 5th. My file was opened on May 3rd.

I didnt recieve any confirmation about recieving my document . So i guess we have to wait

Unfortunately.. It takes up to 6-7 weeks now, they confirmed that.

I dont mind taking as much as they want but at least i need confirmation that they recieved my documents

Confirmation of receipt happens about 1 week before the final decision from what I've read. Even in their site it says: If you are able to monitor your application online, please note that it can take up to three weeks for you to receive confirmation of receipt of your documents..

That said, 6-7 weeks is too much. How are we expected to catch the beginning of our semesters with visas taking up to 4 months? Being busy is no excuse. When are you guys starting your courses? I'm starting October 3rd and I am afraid I will not have the visa on time. They received my documents on the 16th of May.

My school start on sept 6th. The processing tive for study permit in my country is 8 weeks . Im afraid if caq takes 6-7 that i have to deffer my my first semester to winter term

It says on the web sote that they are commited to process CAQ within 20 business days ? But 6-7 weeks way too much

The last notification, which is the issue of the CAQ, normally we receive it after 2-3 days from the documents reception confirmation.

My question was clear to the agent, and he said I can not even confirm that we received your documents since it's not showing on your profile and these days the processing times are longer because they had delays !

I just want to extend my study permit, and I want to do that before traveling for the summer. And until now I can't travel or do anything since I haven't extended it. Hopefully we all get answers next week, because if so, I think we will have to wait for another 2 weeks.

I told you it takes time now, so do not expect any answer before next week. ( You may get one by the end of this week if you are lucky ).

I just recieved an email and then opened my file
They recieved my documents on may 5th
So i guess its a matter of few days for the CAQ
