As everybody knows, I cleared my CIC test last year on august 5, its been over 6 months since then, I have not heard from CIC, as per online, I shoud get the Oath in 6 months, unfortunately, I have not received the oath invitation yet, When I called them, they said, everything is good in my file, they started a back ground/security check on February 9 this year, a decision will be made soon. I am wondering if anyone knows what is back ground/Security check and How long it takes?

Since Hamilton office told you that you will get an answer before 31 March, I think
you don't need to worry about the Oath letter anymore.

I do believe you don't need to worry about it anymore, the anxiety is finally over.

You will get your Oath invitation soon.

My friend is in the similar situation as you, and I think her family will get Oath invitation
soon as well.

Thank you to everyone who has been struggling with The Cic . Thank you so much for being there for me and I thanks God for everything he has done and continually do in my life.. I just want to let all my friends in this forum know that I finally receive the invitation to appear to take the Oath on Tuesday March 22. My journey is over. but I will keep supporting my fellow in this forum. Thanks so much.

What about your ecas status? When you click DM, does it show any further update?

I receive the Oath letter today by regular mail, my online status still the same, it just said Decision made but no details when I click in it
