I applied for student Canada study visa. To my greatest chagrin, I was denied only on the grounds of not returning after my stay... I have reapplied adding my properties, my job employment letter, I. d cards, and parents affidavits. I have my masters in Europe and going for some certificate course and I specified why I am going for the PG certification. I just read about the Caips notes and unfortunately, I reapplied without getting this. I hope this can answer the consular questions. What chances do I have, knowing that I didn't demand for the caips notes

Low.

To study in Canada for a PG certificate when you already have a Master's makes you fit the profile of someone who is studying in Canada as means of staying permanently.

Why don't you apply for permanent residency?

But I basically need the certificate course because of the kind of job I have here. I studied Economics in my masters but going for a different certification course as my job is public relations officer.

But they will ask questions like, why can't they study this certificate in their home country or do it by distance learning?

For you to come to Canada and incur the costs associated with living and studying here for a lower qualification than what you already possess, it will look very suspicious to them.

I appreciate that you're working in another field and it is a means of topping up your qualification, but you just fit the profile of someone who is using the qualification as a means of remaining in Canada once you're done.

Do you have a job to return to in your home country when you finish your PG certificate? If you do, then you should include a letter from your employer stating they intend to employ you after you complete your studies.

I'm not saying it's impossible but it's tough.

Yes it makes a lot of sense to me. I can't pull the application out, but in my SOP, it was listed properly why I wished to take up the course internationally, I have a good financial fit and yes you are right. I understand your point. Wish I knew all along that this was the problem. I couldn't also get a PhD study to that effect, that's what I could have gone for. I wish they will consider differently

PR job doesn't actually need specific education and if you are already working in PR not having education in PR hasn't prevented you from securing employment in the sector.
