Dears.... I need help from people who went thru this.
I received a notice for hearing with citizenship judge back on October 16th for myself and my wife.

the interview went smooth, the judge asked me questions about my taxes, work, travel, family, and some other issues.
the same happened with my wife. ate the end of the interview, he gave us small Canadian paper flag, he was so nice with us. he asked me to sign an authorization to check my entry record to Canada. "I submitted same record earlier"

The judge told me he need 60 days to reply but he does not need all of these days.... 55 days passed since my interview and I'm so worry.

what is the possibilities? what is next?

this was in Vancouver office.

regards,

I'm glad you shared your story with the forum & that the interview went smooth... :)

Just wondering, after you finished the Interview with CJ...
did the court give you any reference or number where you can track back
the judge's decision/verdict (say after the 60 days)?

If you don't mind... do you know the reason(s) that lead to an interview with a citizenship judge?

Wish you all the good luck :)

Hi
Order your ATIP file online, you will get it in 30 days and there you will see if the decision was granted.. most likely is was but you are waiting in line for the Oath that is taking some good time these days

Yes, you can share my case.

I don't know why they transfer my case to CJ... my file was clear but I think the CIC had suspect because I did not submit my old passport. the Officer who interviewed us after the citizenship test asked me to translate the current passport.... I asked her again what about the old ones (I was holding old passport on my hand) she waved her hands said "No need", then I just submitted the current passport. It seems they assumed my old passport is missing that's why my file transferred to CJ.

my timeline:
applied for citizenship on 04/2010
received Explore Canada Book on : 07/2010
citizenship test was on : 06/2011
received RQ for myself : 11/2011
received notice referring my case to CJ : 05/2012
receive request for my entries to Canada : 07/2012
Received 2nd RQ for my wife on : 01/2014
Received hearing appointment on: 09/2014
Hearing with CJ was on : 10/16/2014

Why you are not calling CIC???? People are calling CIC frequently. I am sure they will tell you what's going on.

hmm... looks like they are suspecting something... not sure what is it! ???

May be its good to order your ATIP, and see the records may be something is mentioned that could explain all this...

Its a bit a strange to get RQ 6 months after the test?
From what I read... and I could be totally wrong, you would get it few weeks after the test (or wait and get oath appointment)...

Its also not clear to me why your wife got her RQ almost 2 years later!

Anyway, I guess you need to call the CIC and ask them... but its certainly irregular case here,
I hope it will end well, good luck :)

hi Mary 2009
thx for your reply.
I ordered my file 2 years ago.... it is useless because most of the comment are hidden due to Federal security law. my friend told CIC hide comments that show any contact with foreign agency such as the ministry of interior at my country or so. they won't show they have such relations. one benefit I got from the report the issues about not submitting my old passport.

I'm waiting for CJ reply.... 55 days already passed.... we were waiting for 3 yeas for this....couple more weeks won't harm.

My friend, you have been waiting for over 4.5 years, not 3 years. Something must be very fishy about your application. IMO, since the CJ promised you 60 days, wait for one more week, and call the CJ's office to find out.

Well, if you applied for citizenship on 04/2010
Then you've been on the "waiting line" for 4 years & 8 months (including everything)

Really wish all this wait time turns out to a good ending,

Please come and share the good news with us when you hear back from the CIC or the CJ office...

Wish you all the good luck,

Mary
