H1B visa appointment availability

Anybody getting their regular appointments cancelled these days?
Mine's coming up in August, and was just curious

For a canadian PR what should be the answer to this question, I am living in US currently, and moving back to canada , will be commuting to US going forward for work?

I just put down YES, just in case they wag their fingers for not answering correctly.
But I heard that if you do it, then your appointment will get cancelled about a month before the appointment

So till than travel with AVR? 797 approval i94?
Booking an appointment would not stop from traveling on AVR?

What consulate? Were you traveling from out of province? Mine is for Aug 16th at Calgary. Haven't heard anything yet.

Yeah, AVR is still allowed.
I've only run into one CBP officer that asked for confirmation of interview.
He just wanted to make sure I book an interview.

No, the CBP at the checkpoint just asked for a print out of the interview confirmation

Why were you asked about the interview confirmation? I mean how did that discussion came up? Because i have appointment as well in Aug and i have been using AVR.

Mine was Aug 26 or something like that.

Why were you asked about the interview confirmation? I mean how did that discussion came up? Because i have appointment as well in Aug and i have been using AVR.

I don't know
The CBP officer was that I didn't have my H-1b visa and asked where it was, and I explained to him that I AOS'ed last year.
He said I'll eventually need to get it and asked for confirmation of interview.
