Sharing my horrendous experience thus far and the timeline here and will continue to keep this updated.

Appreciate any updates/notes from folks on similar experience and what did they do (if anything) to move app process forward.

History: Canadian PR holder living in USA. I have had my stamping done in Canada 2 times prior to this a) Vancouver - In Person (2019) and b) Toronto - Dropbox (2021).

Current Dropbox:
Mar 20 - Reached Canada
Mar 21 - Post Docs at 10 AM in Post Office closest to consulate.
Mar 22 - 10 AM received by Consulate.
April 6 - Application moved to "Application Received" in first half of day after no status for 2+ weeks.
Waiting on next steps.


2021 Dropbox:
Oct 10: Reached Canada
Oct 11 - Post Docs at 10 AM in Post Office closest to consulate
Oct 15 - Issued
Oct 18 - Passport collected from Post Office in evening.
Oct 19 - Left Canada.

My timeline is like this:

Toronto Consulate
First time H1B, Had F1 and B2 stamps before. Canadian PR living here for 4.5 years.
Apr 29: Documents delivered
Apr 4th: status changed to Application Received
No updates since then

I have also dropped my passports for H-1B stamping in Canada on 04/11. Here are my updates as on today-

04/11/2023 - Mailed via Canada post.
04/12/2023 - Delivered.
04/13/2023 - Status changed to "Application Received".
04/14/2023 - No change since yesterday

Actually, I chose Ottawa consulate.
I believe, you have to send to the center that you picked online. We can connect over phone if you have any questions.

i am on Closed Work permit and want to know what should i answer for question 1 . here are some of my details.

i am india citizen with approved H1B , previous visa was stamped in india ...expired on 2020 year .

I am not sure for closed work permit. One of the criteria for interview waiver program was related to Canadian PR or Canadian citizen.
