H1B Stamping Dropbox in Canada

Here is my timeline for h1b stamping via dropbox at Ottawa
canadian PR residing in Canada for last 2 years. Previously held h1b for over 6 years. Had an B2 issued at Ottawa last year.

Submitted documents at canada post - 14 Oct
Documents reached Ottawa - 17th Oct
DS 160 status - no status to application received - 19th Oct
DS 160 status - application received to approved - 20th Oct
Ghost update - no change in DS 160 status - 26th Oct
DS 160 status - approved to issued - 26th oct
tracking no generated - 27th oct
passport delivered home - 28th oct.

Hello Guys,

I am new to this forum. I am a canada PR and have been holding H1B for last 4 years currently staying in canada. What is the process for H1B Dropbox? Do we need to schedule an appointment first and send the documents through canada post as per the appointment date accordingly(if it’s a Dropbox) or once we are ready with all the documentation we can send anytime?

i have my delivery location set to Toronto and i am going via Windsor to Toronto. Can i post my documents in Canada post windsor or in Toronto? are there any specified locations from where we need to post our documents?

Status Timelines
5th Sept 2022 - Arrived in Toronto
6th Sept 2022 - Mailed the application date (Drop off in Canada Post Office)
8th Sept 2022 - Application Received at Ottawa Office
12th Sept 2022 - Application Status from No Status to Application Received

The generic/ automatic update confused me but when I called the customer care I was told to ignore the below message. Just in case if anyis confused what the below message meant, Did not receive any email for the interview

"Your case is open and ready for your interview, fingerprints, and required documents. If you have already had your interview, please check your status after two business days.
For more information, please visit U.S. Embassy Ottawa "

Hi,
Does the generic message meant anything? Our online status also got updated to the above message with application received status. Does it mean we will be called for an interview?

I think you should be able to post from Windsor although I am not fully sure.

Thanks for the reply. I called AIS US in canada help number and they said we can post from any location. I see Canada post is working on Saturdays as well in Toronto so i should be posting them on any Saturday as well just to make sure consulate may receive on Monday morning.

Do we also need to send i-129 filing doc compiled with approved LCA copy? or just LCA?
my lawyer has compiled in one file

Go ahead and fill out your visa application. You won't have to book an appointment if you are eligible for dropbox.

Can someone please let me know if and how I can book biometrics appointment for H1B stamping in Canada? Or whether biometrics is done on same day as consular interview appointment? Thanks

When I went for an in-person interview at Toronto consulate in 2019, my biometrics were taken on the same day at the consulate.

Note: No "Administrative Processing" Status in the whole process for me.
