As per Alberta immigration site this is the list of people who can apply after September 1st

Most of us are suitable under this category

* 2171 Information Systems Analysts and Consultants
* 2172 Database Analysts and Data Administrators
* 2173 Software Engineers and Designers
* 2174 Computer Programmers and Interactive Media Developers
* 2175 Web Designers and Developers

And these categories are not available to apply.

Any advice on how to apply and which category to chose?

Also is there any other way apart from applying to Alberta?

None of the NOC categories that you listed are eligible for Alberta any more under the their H1B program.

You could look at the Federal site, but only 0213 is eligible for process for systems people.

* 0213 is also not available in Alberta site. I think the quota is finished.

In this case shall I apply under the Federal site. Or is there any other option?

Category and Required Docs

I am planning to apply in Oct. I am currently in US since last 3 yrs and on H1-B. Have following questions -

a. Which category to apply in? I am currently a technical lead in IT company.
b. Is the FBI background check required to be sent at time of application submit itself or can be delayed? I have India and New Jersey background checks with me.
