H1B & H4 in USA - Visit to Canada on TRV

Hi,

Me and my spouse are on H4 & H1B respectively; valid till Dec 31 2019. We are applying for extension but not sure on approval as is the case with many these days. Want to apply for a Canada TRV for us both to spend Thanksgiving there. Trying to understand if we can get a TRV visa in light of a) Our stay in US is valid just for couple of more months b) have family in Canada on PR c) We do have an express entry profile active (no ITA as of yet due to lower points ).

Please advise.

Each of those factors weighs against a TRV issuance. You can certainly apply, but remember that you need to provide proof of ties to your country of residence, your home country, and solid reasons why you'd leave Canada.
