You are correct DatabaseAdmin,

BTW, when did you applied?

April 14 2009 was the application recipt date. Issued file number twice once in July 09 and once in Oct 09.Got a dreaded and stupid snail mail from AINP only once ;D

Have any non IT have got such letter ? I applied on Oct 1st with NOC 2242 and so far have not recieved any communication.
Thanks
WantABNomination.

I'm also a non-IT applicant. I applied on Aug 1, 2009. Just received an e-mail in Oct saying that they have received my application. No communication after that. I haven't even received a file #. I feel so bad for everyone who received the letter.

Good luck to all of you guys who got this dreaded mail, please pray that no - one else will get this mail :)

BTW I wonder, how come so many people just got this dreaded mail today only, even though they have posted this snail mail from 1st March.

I still remember seeing some posts where NOC 2171 april 2009 applicants got doc request for further processing. I dont understand why rest of the people got it denied. I have not checked my mail today if it was via regular mail.

Hi all,

I had the wrong user name ABLUVER..I could have better named as ABHATER....I too got the same mail from AlNP and my file got closed. My H1B expires SEP 2010, so I have no other options...Anyways thanks everyone in this forum for sharing all the information and providing support to other members..

My Timeline:
*********
NOC # 2171
AOR : Apr-07-2009
File # Aug-20-2009

Received file closed letter dated Mar-01-2010. I have one year till Apr 01 2011 to get a job offer and reopen my file, which is not going to happen....

GOOD LUCK to all..

Can't you extend your h1b?

hs2501,

If your Labour is filed and under process( or cleared) you are eligible to file H1 extension for 1 more year after your 6th year stay in US.
If you have valid I-140 you are eligible to apply for 3 years of H1 Extension after your 6th year stay in US.

Thank you
Virgo

Any one who got the letter after geting the doc request ?

I too got the mail yesterday that my file was closed.

The funny thing is last week i had sent a updated documents (new i-797, paystubs, job offer letter...).As soon as they received my documents, they had sent out this letter. :(

Wastage of lawyer fee, postage and top of that time...

Anyway, good luck to those guys who got the nomination and better luck to the guys who received the letter.

Application received: April 23 2009
File number received: Nov 2 2009
last 4 digits:506x

They took 6 months in my case to allot file number. I don't know how much more time it is going to take.

I regret to inform you all that my application file has been closed. They don't need any more people in IT field. Good luck to all of you guys.
I got a letter from AINP yesterday.

Why the hell AINP thinks that nomination should be stopped if there is no jobs in Alberta? How many got PR thru AINP-H1b stream so far and how many of them relocated to Alberta. Honestly, how many of us here would relocate to Alberta as soon as we get PR approved. In my guess most of us in this forum would consider relocating only if all the doors of US are closed. Purely Alberta is an alternative for 80% of the people who applied for AINP-H1b stream.

Alberta government should stop day dreaming and issue the nomination. They should understand that jobs will follow the skilled people. If many holds Canadian PR, then businesses might want to think about opening up branches in Alberta, like they Microsoft and Intel have done in Vancouver.

Friends don't worry about these BS. By not giving nomination/PR Alberta is the looser, not us. No doubt we -skilled immigrants- could add more value to Alberta or to any place where we are.
