Jasper, Do you know when will nomination with 79**-09-17** gets nominated? Also does any one has information on avg monthly nomination AINP folks are doing for H1-b category ?

Let's pray and stay calm and hope that nomination process speed up with that of employment file numbers (Now stands around 6*** If i am not wrong. (Please correct me with latest employment file numbers)

Unfortunately, applicants with file number 17XX need to wait for a long time. Now the processing time for SRS H1-B assessment is "At Least 8 months." The file numbers 17XX were issued about June/July, so the nomination certificates will probably be issued early next year or later. But the processing time might change in the future, so actually no one knows for sure.

And it seems that AINP has stopped issuing nomination certificates for H1-B category applicants since the end of June. No one in this forum received nomination in July and Aug. This may be due to AINP's concern about the economic situation, but we can't do anything but wait at this point.

The latest nominated ones had file number 06XX (last 4 digits). As you said, let's pray and stay calm. That's the best we can do now.

Good Luck!

Thanks Jasper for this information. It's feels really good to know that that applicants with file number 17XX gets nomination early 2010 (Hopefully Jan / Feb). Some of my friends have file number starting with 3*** Looks like they have to wait until end of 2010 (Nov / Dec). Many of them will not be eligible as they will be out of H1-b Status by then. But atleast AINP has given all of us hope unlike US Immigration which has closed door. We all H1-b holder should make huge postive impact there in Alberta, Canada. So that way US government would regret big time once economy start picking up and start looking for qualifed people again.
Once again Thanks Jasper, This forum has been very imformative and polite (towards AINP as well as other members) . Also Jasper do you know whats' the current application file number (4***, 5***, or may be 6***) and how long they might have to wait 2010/2011?

No one knows for sure 17xx will get nomination early next year. Don't get too excited, we've all been down that road, until AINP kept pushing back the dates, now no one knows when they'll ever issue nominations. I've been so disappointed but remain hopeful.

Funny, I always thought you were the resident of a padded cell awaiting a new straight jacket. Must be some loony hatch to allow internet access, but that's progress I guess.

Hi image,

Unfortunately, jimmy is right. The truth is that no one has any idea who is going to receive nomination when. The time I mentioned (early next year or later) is beased on the processing time currently posted on AINP website. It says assessment takes "At Least 8 months," so it can be even some time in 2011. And this processing time can be changed by AINP anytime. In fact, this processing time was (up to 4 months preassessment) + (up to 4 months assessment) = (total process: up to 8 month), but AINP changed it last Friday. (Do you see it used to be "up to" instead of "at least"?)

So considering the current processing time, applicants with file numbers 3XXX or higher may need to wait even longer than that. And like you said, the longer the process takes, the more applicants won't be able to maintain H1-B status till nomination. So the situation looks pretty bad for all of us now, but let's just not lose our hope. All we can do now is just to wait. (or let's look at the bright side: AINP is still issuing file numbers to a lot of applicants, so the process is moving forward!)

Sonu81, the information in the tracking sheet shows you applied in December 2008, you should be pre-assessed candidate. Did you get the pre-assesment done?

I went over all pages from 1 until now which is 109. I personally found that 0652 "Last 4 digits" (Application nominated) on month of April. Have any of you guys know of latest information on Application being nominated.

Also how come Sonu81's application has not been nominated when 0652 was nominated . and I think 0652 application was received on end of Jan ,2009.

There has also been big changed on "Job under pressure " back in month of May, 2009 (Most IT related positions were removed )from jobs under pressure.

652 is nominated, 604 i.e. DJ is not, same with me...

this shows the efficient working of AINP. Maybe out files are lying somewhere in some bucket in a corner and they just forgot. just like they issued file # to may guys before march guys...

anyways,

Application assessment criteria

How are AINP assessing Application Nomination ? Are they doing this based on

i) Application File Number example: 0100, 0999, 1***, 2***, 3*** (Is Smaller = More faster)
ii) NOC (Is Fewer = More faster)
iii) Application package received date (Is earlier = More faster)
