What the heck! they approved all the latest nominations on 3/27-3/30 and sending them now. On top of that, they are sending them at different times for these people while approving them in same period. gosh...anyways, that makes me laugh too....

Hi Friends,

I am new here and confused with my VISA Status.

Oct 31, 2008 : Sent Mail for Initial Assestment
Nov 3, 2008 : Initial Assessment Complete
Jan 2, 2009 : Documents Mailed to AB-PNP
Jan 5, 2009 : Documents Received by AB-PNP
Feb 20, 2009 : AOR - Documents Received by AB-PNP

File # XXXX-XX-X60X

Waiting for approval!

As per the table above, I see applicant who submitted around same timeline got approved.

I had sent an email for address change; could that be a reason I have not received my certificate. What should I do now?

You are fine and should get a decision soon. They approved January people before some December guys who are still waiting. So, there is no exact pattern. Dont worry and wait.

Thanks for updating the list.

NomLtrDt is the date on the Nomination letter not the date they received the nomination. Till now i have seen them holding the nomination for atleast 1month from the date it was printed.

I have requested NARSANNA to get the date on the Nomination letter.

Do ABNP office sends an email confirmation before sending Certificate? or it just shows up by normal mail?

I had sent request of address change & have not received confirmation on address change yet. (sent on Mar 3,2009).

just wanna make sure I do not miss the mail, if they send it to old address.

1 thing I feel is also the traffic at CIC. If CIC has more traffic (not only from AINP), they might have instructed AINP guys to send some limited number of apps in a day/week/month.

This is just my thought, could be wrong as well.

devesh,

they usually send an e-mail with the file number. after that the nomination just shows up in your mailbox. they do NOT send you a heads-up that your nomination has been sent or anything.
there have been instances where applicants have received nominations directly, without any file number.

They made new rules in 2008 under pretext of reducing processing times. Processing times are same but number of immigrants have reduced due to the occupation lists at federal and state level. Well, this was expected of the conservative government in Canada. They are same as republicans in US. Republicans hate immigrants, democrats love them. Same is in Canada, Conservatives hate them, liberals/democrats love them.

So, CIC traffic is in fact reduced but it is the conservative government policy which is causing delays.

Assuming that you applied under AINP - SRS.

Technically, it is possible to move after receiving Nomination from Alberta IF you have a job offer in your field from my employer IN Alberta.
