All,
My company has an office in Alberta and I am considering asking my manager to request the Alberta office to extend an offer letter stating that they want to move me from US to Alberta. I have a few questions with this option.
1. Will this speed up my process at any stage? I applied in April 2009 and I am awaiting the Doc request any day. Will this request speed up the Alberta process. How about the CIC process?
2. Does the Alberta Gov check if I joined the company which gave me the offer after I get the PR? What happens if I dont?
3. Will Canada allow me to work in Alberta(for the Alberta branch) while the CIC application is in progress(Assuming Alberta nominates me)? I guess I need to get a worker visa to canada. How difficult is that?

Thanks

YOu can talk to AINP about this. They can give you the most acurate information. If you dont feel comfortable dont give your name out. Regradless they will be able to tell you what your options will be if you are extended a letter as you described below.

If you can get an offer letter, it will definitely speed up your process with AINP, this is what they always say and you can move to Canada rightaway with AINP nomination and start working for Alberta employer. It has no effect on CIC processing times and it should not even matter as long as you can go to Alberta and start working there. Whether you would need a work visa after AINP nomiation but before CIC completes its process, you better call AINP and ask them for its answer.

The job offer, as you already know, will speed up your process with the AINP. You cannot go to Alberta and work with only the nomination. You need your PR or a working visa to do so. But if you have a job offer AINP will give you an additional letter that you can send to the CIC along with your application (in this case you'll have to send an application for your working visa with 2 photos - find out the requirements for working visa applications). AINP states this letter doesn't guarantee that CIC will give you a working visa, but helps.

Even if you don't get a working visa, if you have a legit job offer from an Alberta employer your CIC case will be processed faster.

What are the red boxes on the spreadsheet means? are those applicants who are not on H1B anymore?

nomination will come by Royal Canadian mail which is equivalent to USPS. After March 16th you should contact AINP to check on your app status. good lcuk

The red boxes in the spreadsheet show the applicants who have been waiting for more than 8 months after their file number receipt (Based on AINP website, 8 months is normal processing time for candidate assessment).

Hi all,

my time line is as given below:

doc sent: april 1 2009

Application received by AINP: april 14 2009

conrmation sent by AINP: 06/22/2009 with file #

file # 32XX

DOC requeste: NOT YET

Nomination Received: Not yet,

my question is: i have not received any DOC required from AINP, i called AINP and aked them but as you all know they do not provide any information on your file status,

they told me that before proccessing your FILE AINP will let you know only if they require more information from you,

it is march 01 2010 already and i have seed on the forum that people who filed in the same time frame already received the DOC required thing,

DO THEY EMAIL OR SEND YOU LETTER IF THEY REQUIRE MORE INFORMATION? I MEAN HOW DO THEY ASK? BY MAIL OR E-MAIL?

DO EVERY ONE RECEIVES DOC REQUIRED MESSAGE?

ANY BODY IN THE SAME TIME FRAME RECEIVED DOC REQUIRED MESSAGE? OR NOMINATION?

please let me know any information will be helpful!

regards,
