Hi,
I just saw this forum and its awesome. Best place to discuss anything AINP related.. The below is my story with AINP.

April 8th, 2009: Posted the application to AINP
Aug 21st,2009: Received an email from Alberta that my app was received on April 9th and the
Candidate File Number: 7XXX-0X-4XXX

There has not been any correspondence since. Is the file number in sequencial order? If it is, then any idea when I might hear back from Alberta?

And is there a master file containing all the members process dates? I just want to check to see if someone with the same dates as mine has moved to the next stage.

And is all correspondence through email or do they mail letters too?

Thanks
Nav

Thank you for sharing your timeline, Nav.

Our file numbers are usually issued in sequencial order (but the applicants with preassessment tend to received small file numbers). However, it is difficult to predict who is going to receive document-request/nomination from AINP because not only application dates but also NOC codes are considered during the nomination process (and it may even depend on other factors). Now AINP seem to be processing mainly Jan/Feb/Mar applicants, but the order of issuing nomination is not really sequencial.

Here's the link to our timeline spreadsheet: http://tinyurl.com/AINP-Tracking-System
If you click "AINP time line tracker," then you will see the forum member's timelines.
Vsrao and I normally update this spreadsheet once a day, so your timeline will also be on this in a day or two.

And AINP usually request additional documents by email and send nomination packet by postal mail.

Hi,

I have been reading this forum to constantly get an idea of the processing timeline and to educate myself with various questions asked by members. I got nomination on Dec 21. Following is my timeline-

Initially Document Submitted: 23-March-2009
Receipt of AINP Application: 1-April-2009
File Number Generated: 3-Sept-2009
Requested Documents: 2-Dec-2009
Nomination Received in mail: 21-Dec 2009

NOC Code- 2174

Thanks everyone for keeping this forum useful and current. All those who are waiting for the nomination just hang in there. Keep yourself busy and soon you will be surprised with the nomination. I had applied for AINP and forgotten about it and finally inspite of the delays, this thing did come through.

Hi, I filed thru an immigration lawyer, recvd the document request in Nov 2009 and recvd the nomination in Dec 2009.

Hello Gautam,

Congrates for the nomination.
Can you please tell me what was the procedure? Do they send the nomination/ Doc req letter to your address or to the consultant direcly.

My problem is, I have recently rented my US home I am staying with my friends and looking for an apartment. Although my friend has my name on the mailbox and I am receiving all mails, I do not have any proof of change of address.
So, my friends address is the temporary address. Should I send the address to AINP? or should I wait till I get an apartment?
Please advice.

Any updates guys?

Looks like they are closed till Jan 3rd. If its true see you all next Monday.
Till then

Happy New Year to all and I hope this new year will bring us the happy news we all are waiting for too long.

Anyone who got document request after 1st week of december... its look like nomination is again slow...

when will my number come

Kapil

This is holiday time and they too need some personal time so we should not expect any thing till next week.

Cheers!!!!

I am still waiting for "Request for Documents" request from Alberta. From what I have heard, this request comes via email.

Has anyone received this request through a phone call or a mail to the home address?

Thanks
Nav

Hi,

dont worry .. your processing time depends on your noc code..if you are under 2171( IT) then it might take little more time..non IT folks are getting nominations little sooner..
check the forum..we have the list of nominations and nov and file number etc..

that might give you a good idea. another thing is holiday season , so no movement in terms of nominations i believe.

Hi Deepun,

PCCs are valid for 3 months, which means that they must have been issued no more than 3 months before you submit you application to Buffalo. (http://www.cic.gc.ca/ENGLISH/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp)

BTW how long did it take to get your PCC from FBI?
