I am really happy today when I open my mailbox its a big bulky brown envelope and when I took it I saw the word Alberta. I can't help an open it right in my mailbox and huraah its my nomination. The nomination was dated november 23 and it will expire May 22nd 2010. My NOC number is 2141. FYI.

it didn't mention in the application but in my opinion, I will not take chances I will get a PCC , FBI(USA) and NBI from my home country philippines just to make sure everything is fine.

I am expecting a boy (expected due date on March 9, 2010). As the nomination is only for me and my spouse.

What are my options now?
Just apply for CIC and wait and add my son later or what should I do?
Also, I got PCC from Indian Consulate last year, should I get that once again?

Yesterday, I had sent a reminder email to answer my question whether my application will still be considered, I got a reply from program officer that my application has been passed on to her supervisor for decesion and they will get in touch once the decesion is made. Looks like things are not that staright for out of h1 status guys who applied before feb 19.

The magazine is more on the familiarization about Alberta like the weather, what to wear, where do you want to stay, drivers license, brief history of alberta,social customes, link of the websites to find a jobs, what are the benefits of being a permanent residence, banking, there monetary figures like loonies equivalent to one canadian dollar, toonies 2 cad dollars and ETC.
it's very informative magazine and most of the information can be seen also in the website.
