Hi Ainp2010,

im in the same boat as you, got all PCCs and only wife's FBI came back as "The quality of characteristics is too low to be used" , so resubmitted wife's fingerprints last week.

I called FBI, and they said they could not give me a time frame on how long they will process, but they said I should put RESUBMISSION on the back of my envelope so that they know its not a fresh application, maybe that will make it somewhat faster.

My indian PCC expires on 21st April, and Im going to try my best to send in all PCCs togethor, I will decide by mid-April... Im still not decided on what to do, and in the meantime Im watching those that sent to CIC without FBI... if any one of them gets AOR then I will send without FBI...lets see.....

After 10 Weeks, I received my wife's FBI Fingerprint report but asking me to resubmit due to

L008 The quality of characteristics is too low to be used.

I am planning to resubmit my fingerprints again tomorrow. What should I do about CIC application because I cant wait another 10 weeks.
Is there way to make resubmission faster or can I submit CIC application without my FBI (I am principal applicant). Any suggestions or help is really appreciated.

Thanks, guys! We all have Energy+Patience+Promptness because that's what we need in this immigration process! I'm really glad to share information and exchange opinions with you guys here. I can't wait to see all of us receiving PR. We are almost there!

Thanks again, Jasper.

Btw, would it be possible to track an additional piece of information - applications sent with all docs including FBI reports, vs those that were sent with some docs missing. This may give us an idea of the processing patterns of CIC Buffalo. Sounds easier than done, but if possible it would be great.

Cheers,

Not yet. My reached them on March 18th. Just checked. MO has not been cashed.

Anyone who sent CIC application after Mar 09, 2010 - has your cashier check/money order been cashed? I sent mine Mar 15, and it has not been cashed yet. Just wish to check if Murphy's Law is still haunting my immigration case!

Hi,

I got my FBI report yesterday. I had sent the FBI request in last week of Jan. Today I sent my CIC application. Good luck to all.

Thanks,

Yes we can do that. I will be adding another field "Complete Application Including PCC's (Y/N)". I will add it today.

Questions regarding completing Schedule 1 Background/Declaration form:

Question 7:

FAMILY NAME of mother at time of birth - This would be Last name of mother before marriage, correct?

GIVEN NAME - This would only be the First Name and not with Middile name (of husband) as in some cultures in India after marriage?

Quetion 9:

Second bulltet point "previously sought....or visitor...visa" - Answer would be Yes, if visited Canada in the past, though the question has other factors in it as well.

Thanks in advance.

Re: H1-Alberta PNP-nominations NOV'09 and later+PCC, FBI,CIC application discuss

Yes Family Name of mother at time of birth is the LAST name before marriage. Also called the MAIDEN name.

Given Name in my opinion are all names GIVEN to you i.e. not inherited from the family. So all names that belong to ONLY you in the family fall under Given names and it WILL include middle name.

I have a visitor visa for Canada so I checked YES for that question and explained in the space below that I have a visitor visa. I also mentioned the validity period of the visa and made sure I have a copy of it with the copy of the passport.

Hope this helps.
