Pls don't calculate your timeline based on mine. I have been extremely unlucky. Here are the details.

1. Applied from Montreal Canada on Nov 12th 2009.
2. Canada Mail Tracking said the mail was delivered on Nov 17th 2009.
3. FBI acknowledges the receipt of mail as Nov 23rd 2009.
4. Money order Cashed on Feb 19th 2010.
5. Still awaiting my FBI PCC

I just read that an applicant from China mailed the docs in dec and has already got his PCC.

I understand that most applicants get their PCC in 12 weeks. Some unlucky ones like me have to wait patiently.

For those of you who have send the application package to CIC Buffalo:

what kind of payment did you use to pay the processing fee? I have seen some people said they knew on what date their check being cashed, but when I was in my bank (BOA) this morning, I was told they only have one kind of bank check, and there is no way to track when this check will be cashed. They said for cashier/certifified check, the money would be withdrawn from the account at the time when you get the check, so the check is already like a kind of cash and can not be tracked further.

Is this true? Please share the info about what kind of check and which bank did you use, and how did you track it. Thanks a lot.

Fingerprint card for FBI

I am in a bit of a dilemma. I need a fingerprint card to apply for the FBI clearance records. I got fingerprinted at Sagem Morpho, the agency that handles prints for New Jersey state police. I was informed that my prints would be sent to the NJ police department and that I would be receiving some letter (which I am guessing is the PCC for New Jersey state) from them.

When I called up the "Personal Records Department" for NJ, they told me they don't really issue fingerprint cards. The operator mentioned that I should find the card online on FBI's website. However, the website provides a blank copy of the card which has to be filled by a government agency such as the police department. And I mentioned earlier, the NJ police department said they do not provide fingerprint cards.

So how do I get my prints taken? Any help would be appreciated!

My BOA branch (in Texas) was able to track my cashier's check without any problems. Talk to a manager or a supervisor, as I was told by a clerk that it wasn't possible to do it, and she was wrong.

I see. Maybe the cashier I asked is also not familiar with this. I'll check with my bank again. thank you.
