Hi guys,

I sent my request to FBI on 24th Jan. now I am planning to send request for PCC (NY, MA). Please guide me where I have to send request and how long the PCC normally takes.

Thanks for your time and advise.

Hi - I just spoke to FBI customer care, they said current processing time is 13 weeks from the date of they receive(which is in their system).

I posted mine on 21st Dec and ttheir system has 28th Dec as received date. Hence I anticipate mine will come during first week of April with the current trend.

It looks like 13 weeks is new official processing time for FBI clearance. FBI made a change even in their website and now it says the processing time is 13 weeks

I haven't received my FBI clearance yet, but I got a small update on my case. I spoke with FBI and they said my result would be mailed out next Wednesday (Mar 3). Next week is my 13th week (received on Dec 7).

We both are sailing in the same boat henceforth thought of writing to you. I sent my request on 17th December to FBI. received by them on 21st, as per the UPS tracking number. I called up today at their office in the afternoon and had a chance to check on my status. They confirmed the receiving on the 28th December and confirmed one week to expedite. So keep the faith and hopefully next 10days more!!!

Called FBI yesterday .... was told 14 weeks is new timeline. :) Anyways i am waiting...till i can can afford to wait.

I totally agree with you deskiVATT and this should not be any deal what so ever for us( We all know all those members who have been in this forum for long time and contributing), The only reason we are here is to share information among members. It was so helpful for all us in getting over long and frustrating AINP nomination process and now we all need this even more for CIC nomination.

By the way , I am also waiting for FBI and will send all my application (Including FBI) all at once. I think this should make our process faster rather than sending seperately.

I will now only post once I receive my FBI. By the way I currently down by -4 . :(

Thanks

Hi Image6000,
I just gave you some good rating..i was not knowing about this rating stuff :D
haa haa haa..this looks like short fun.. ;D
After seeing this ..i checked my rating :'( it was -3 :o i dont know how much is the min...
but sure..there is high unemployment right now..and that guy may be on bench.. ;D so may be killing some time.. 8)

btw my application reached today CIC ..and signed by H Carland..

Hi,

Today i got my FBI, which i sent on Dec 7th '09 along with my wife's.
But my wife's has been returned without report.
They send a new card requesting to reprint the card and resubmit it again.
This is what they have stated.
Form I-17a
Code Description
L0008 The quality of characteristics is too low to be used
(determined by the FBI's Automated Fingerprint Indentification System)
Did any one experienced this kind of situation. How much time it will take, once i resubmit it?
Your suggestions.

Thanks,
SS

I got a mail from FBI asking for the date of birth of my wife which we forgot in the fingerprint card, they mention in the mail that they will wait for 2 days and discard the cards.I send reply back with DOB details on the same day.He informed that it will take 10 days to complete the process. My cards reached to FBI on Dec9th.Still waiting on the result.

Guess if fingerprints are not good enough they ask for the new ones to submit.

Hi ,As most of us are about to send applications to CIC and waiting on our FBI reports, I thought it would be better and useful to mention documents required to submit CIC application.

Documents required for CIC Process for Alberta Provincial Nominee
IMM 0008 Application for Perminent Residence in canada
IMM 0008 Schedule 1 Background for main applicant/spouse
IMM 0008 Schedule 4 Economic Classes-Provincial Nominees for main appicant
IMM 5406 Additional Family Information for main applicant/spouse
IMM 5476 Use of a Representative if required.
1.Copy of Birth Certificates for all(Applicant/dependents)
2.Copy of Marriage Certificate
3.Copies of Passports of all(Applicant/dependents)
4.Copies of 1-797 of main applicant and spouse
5.Original Police Certificates including FBI report,Countries that stayed more than 6 months.
6.Fees bank draft for all in favour of Canadian Consulate General for the amount of US$510/140(for under age22 dependent) or CAN$550/150(for under age22 dependent)
7.4 Photos of all on on back of one photo write name, date of birth, photo taken date.Put them in a envelop and write your realtion to that person on the envelop.
8.Orinal Provincial Nominee certificate
9.Put Nomination Sticker on the Envelop.

Notes:
Don't use the IMM forms that you filled when you were applying for Alberta Nomination.Use new ones signed/dated recently.
Notary is not required on the copies of documents.
No educational docuemnts copies, No experience letters copies are required as we are provencial nominees.

Seniors/active members please advise if any things need to be added .

Thank you
Virgo

I was filling out the forms and have something to mention on IMM008 - SCHEDULE 1 (BACKGROUND / DECLARATION) Question 9

These are the questions that in the past I have always checked "NO" to all and did not read carefully through each of them.

Under Q9 (point ii) it asks for
"Previously sought refugee status in canada or applied for canadian immigrant or permanent resident visa or visitor or Temporary resident visa"

I guess I will have to fill out 'YES' this time and fill the details of canadian visitor visas I have held for in the past.

Previously I had read only first line about the "refugee status" and blindly checked "NO"

I wanted to share this with others so that somebody else does not overlook this question 9 point #2

Virgo,

Did you go to your local police station or other agencies for your

finger prints ?

I went to local police station and they took my finger prints

electronically and put all required information and I was able to verify each

of them before printing out

Also,

To all members who are going

for finger prints

Please make sure that you have it done correctly

because it's gonna be a long wait

if they return your finger prints

AINP nomination is valid for

six months from date

of issuance

Thanks

All,

Looks like we have some few members

whose FBI finger prints cards

have been returned and requested for new one.

Important information related to Finger prints:

Fingerprint Card

1) Obtain a set of your fingerprints

(original card, no copies).

2)Your name and date of birth must be provided

on the fingerprint card.

3) Fingerprints should be placed on a standard fingerprint

form (FD-258) commonly used for applicant

or law enforcement purposes.

4) Include rolled impressions of all ten fingerprints and impressions of all

ten fingerprints taken simultaneously (these are sometimes

referred to as plain or flat impressions.)

5) If possible have your fingerprints taken

by a fingerprinting technician (this service may be available

at a Law Enforcement Agency.)

6) Previously processed fingerprint cards

will not be accepted.

It has been very clearly mentioned in

CIC check list that HOME PCC & FBI should be

included while sending application

to CIC, BUFFALO,

Thanks
