Someone has lied to you on this one....

I called this morning and spoke with a nice middle aged African American for over 10 minutes .. she was very friendly and told me that as a customer service representative they cannot know whether a batch of applications belonging to a certain date are being processed .. like Dec 7.

All they can know is whether a case has been received and whether it is being / already processed.

I sent mine on December 3rd and they have it on their records as "Received on December 1st". She also told me .. they haven't processed mine and it is still in "Received Status". :'(

Also, she mentioned .. many folks are calling them up .. and they are in serious backlog of report requests .... :o

Looks like they are working a typical government job .. with not much seriousness .... >:(

any updates on FBI cases? i called today and they told me they are processing Dec7 received ones...
hope i will get mine before the rest expires....

I just called FBI, and had word with Customer Care Executive.

The person told me that my records are not yet in the system.
I asked "That means process has not started on my application"?

The person told me, "it takes 8-10 weeks from date of receipt". !!!

This means 8 to 10 weeks includes >> adding records to the DB, Scanning of Fingerprints to digital format, and cross-checking FP against their Criminal Record DB, etc...

we all know, LIVE SCAN is faster, as this bypass the initial steps, & they straight away run the cross-check against the main DB.

Hi Devesh,

FBI received my req on Dec 30.Do you think it would be a good option to for LIVE SCAN.Is there any such place in NY/NJ ?

Re: H1-Alberta PNP-nominations NOV'09 and later+PCC, FBI,CIC application discuss

:-\ Undecided what to do? Today i called to the FBI to check the status of my request.
She told it will take 8 weeks to start the process. I told its already 8th week of mine, then she immediately it will take 10 weeks to start the process.
Lol Remember to start the process it self 10 weeks. God knows exactly when they are going to start.
As per USPS my FBI Request reached them on Dec 1st week.

All the best guys :P

Can't you morons stop calling back with the same question and posting a f***ing same response from FBI office.

With you guys calling them every hour is not going to make the process faster. Wait for 10 wks and then call now....I hope enough ppl. have posted the details of phone call above. I still see some guys asking for the phone number to call, Don't you get it ??

Have seen the same thing happen with AINP in the past when everybody was calling to check on the nomination timeline.

Thanks and I hope people read the forum and make use of information rather than read and ignore what other people have said.

Cheers

How come its okay for you to call, but others shouldn't.

Hi guys,

There was 1 for FBI + 2 for PCC (Ny, MA) and same for my wife so those are 6 and I sent to FBI on 24th of Jan. by certified mail and they received on 26th of Jan. I am just waiting for some time and then send finger print cards for PCC.

Thanks

Did anyone try and get a digital scan for FBI? I've tried to research on that and didn't come across any instances where we can request our records directly. Most of the digital ones are for recruiting nurses.
Thanks.

Hello guys,
My state PCCs and home country PCC are about to expire within a month. I had sent my fingerprints card to FBI at the beginning at December. Nothing heard yet. I'm gonna send my application to CIC without FBI report. An explanation letter regarding this situation may be more than enough.
I'll keep you uptodate

Is there at least one guy who tried livescan for FBI clearance certificate? Can you share your experience?
