Hi,
Starting this thread to discuss stage after "Additional Documents requirement mail" or "Nominations" currently being issued (Nov'09 and later). MAinly getting PCC, FBI & State PCC till we finally send our application to CIC. What are the steps we can take & are taking to make our process faster. Senior members who have crossed this initial CIC application process your inputs will be great help.
thanks!

Re:For H1-Alberta PNP - nomination NOV09 and later + Senior members for inputs!

For those who have applied for PCC to India Consulate :
1. Any suggestion for SAN Francisco India Consulate - how was your experience & is it better to go in person to apply for PCC.
2. Is applying for PCC from country(india) before getting nomination a good idea to save on time-do they ask for any documents to show that you have received nomination.

Re: For H1-Alberta PNP - nominations NOV'09 and later + Senior members for inputs!

Folks,
i got doc request yest n i will be in CIC stage in another 2 weeks, meanwhile i want to keep collecting the docs/info. I need to get PCC from India/Australia/PCC from Maryland,Washington,Connecticut. Shall i start getting FBI/PCC now itself. I am confused about the timing if i start getting these PCC's now itself will they get expired by the time they start processing my file. abt Bank statement is tht mandatory while submitting to cic?

Process
========
I guess we will submit docs>checks will be cashed>File no will be generated>medicals requested>medicals complete>send pcc/fbi reports>wait for Passport submission request>Passport

In below list which items can be avoided and can be sent later. As soon as i receive AINP nomination i want to post my docs to CIC Buffalo.
>>>>

3. ALL H1B I-797 and I-94 Attested pages(Fine)

4. Passport pages attested copy of Demographic info (Fine)

From what i have read in forum - it is better to send PCCs along with the initial application otherwise later our case may be further delayed when they ask for it and then we send. FBI&PCC after medical reports ...maybe there is something i am not clear on...if this is correct then there is no use taking PCCs right now as they expire in 3 months & i think PCCs will expire by the time we reach medical report stage.... hope someone else helps us undersatnd this.

I think proof of fund can be sent later.

Once you submit your PCCs, you do not need to worry about their expiration dates. CIC says "The certificate must have been issued no more than three months before you submit your application." So you can submit PCCs along with your application.
How to obtain a police certificate: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp

And proof of funds is NOT required for Provincial Nominee (if your visa office is Buffalo). But you may have to show the proof at the time of landing.

The fees have been changed. Now this fee is US$510.

Family inofrmation

Hey guys,
I have a question about this form.
In the imm008egen form where I need to enter the family information. I will enter my parents info, I am single and this is what I had entered when submitting application for ALberta.
I also need photos for them, and do I still need to follow that strict guidelines for the photos?
I dont have their photos with white background and stuff, and this would further delay my application. Any ideas.

I'm also planning to send my application to Baffalo in Jan. (when I collect all PCCs)

Here's my PCC timeline:
11/30/09 Applied for Japanese Police Certificate (I don't think I need this because I didn't stay in Japan for 6 months, but since this takes 2-3 months, I applied anyway.)
12/1/09 Applied for California PCC (electronic submission)
12/2/09 Sent Record Request to FBI (by USPS)
12/4/09 Received AINP nomination
12/4/09 Received California PCC
12/7/09 FBI received my Record Request (based on USPS tracking)

Jasper,
How do you know that you need State PCC, the Buffalo guide says that the visa office will contact you if they need state PCC.
Also if I understand correctly , I need to send back the acknowledgment form within 30 days of receiving the nominationm right?
Even if I am not planning to send my CIC application for the next 2 months.

I'm applying through immigration lawyer and the law firm wants to send state PCC to Buffalo along with my application. But as you said, state PCC is not required in the initial CIC application to buffalo. (But state PCCs are usually fast. I actually got it in 4 days. So there was no problem for me to get it while waiting for my FBI certificate, which takes weeks.)

And we need to send the PN Acknowledgement Form to AINP within 30 days. But I believe it is "30 days from the date written on your nomination letter." I received my AINP nomination letter on Dec 4, but the date written on the letter is Nov 23. So, in my case, I need to send the form to AINP by Dec 23 (At least this is what my law firm believes, and I've already sent it to AINP).

Also we need to send PN Status Update Form to AINP, but I don't think we need to send this form within 30 days. We need to include some information from Buffalo in this form, so we just need to send it to AINP after landing in Alberta.

Hi

One of the condition for applying PCC from Indian Consulate is mention below,

Photocopy of Green card/Employment Authorization Card or valid visa page from passport and Supporting documents relating to the purpose for obtaining the P.C.C.

1) I will send photocopy of my passport but visa is not valid, but I have valid I797
will that be fine ?
2)What supporting Documents relating to the purpose for obtaining the P.C.C.. I
need to summit?

I AM WAITING FOR NOMINATION but please clear this questions as I want to apply now and save few weeks or month before I get my nomination

I applied in first week of April, so expecting nomination by January, So Please tell me if i am doing right by preparing all this documents before hand?

THANKS

Re: H1-Alberta PNP-nominations NOV'09 and later+PCC, FBI,CIC application discuss

For how long is the Indian PCC valid?

Looks like lot of work to do for pcc.
do we need to get pcc for my spouse too or just primary applicant pcc's are enough?
can we give the pcc return address to self ? or they should be directly sent to cic buffalo?
As per my credit report address proofs i lived in MD,OK,WA,CT.
but in OK it is <6 months, hopefully it should be ok.

Maryland wants in person finger prints dont know why they r asking for tht, i have to drive to maryland police barracks which offer fingeprints on sat.maan that is baad..
CT/WA pcc can be processed via mail
can we download FBI finger print card online? or send a mail requesting them to fwd it.
