- Applied 10 July 2020
- AOR 8 September 2020
- Processing 14 April 2021

When do you recommend to request GCMS notes and how long does it take usually for the first stage?.

I feel like my file is moving so slowly

But praying for the H&C application to get through first as I dont want to be under tension by CBSA. That's why I am so concerned because I heard it's faster now. So not seeing any update is terrifying. 4 years in canada now. With spending money for Lawyer.

Only way to have your H&C processed first would be to withdraw your JR.

I have a question.

When you did your application, do you mind me asking if you added some articles from your country to validate some of the grounds for h&c?

If so, how did you reference it to validate some of your grounds? I know how to do it but I am thinking of the best way to present it so that I don't waste too much of an immigration's officer time. Take for example, let's say I print an article. and I want to reference a paragraph and use it to validate a point for my h&c ground.

1) Do I just write that the see article "x" ( that means an officer will have to read the entire article) OR ( 2) Should I just "quote" the exact paragraph I need in the article in my writing for some of my h&c ground?

What's your best suggestion?

Lastly, do I need to highlight the paragraph I am quoting from the printed article so that an officer can easily first the exact paragraph i am referring to in the article?

I did not have any printed articles, but I pulled key development indicators like Corruption Index and talked about them in the cover letter, giving links to online reports in footnotes.

both 1 and 2 are OK.

if the articles are very long, you can reference paragraphs, yes. Overall, I would not stress over this piece - it is not a key argument. My partner had plenty of articles in his first two HCs and both got refused. So in his 3rd HC I did not bother with articles.

Please @ Blexo don’t withdraw your judicial review. CBSA will start looking for u immediately. Both your H&C application and judicial review on failed refugee claim can run concurrently. Don’t expose urself to CBSA officers. Just relax

After my asylum case get rejected in February 2019 , I appealed to the federal court as I was not eligible to appeal for RAD,

June 2019 get denied again.

I and my family applied for H&C September 2020, got AIP in April 2021, medicals and all other documents requested submitted in May, we got CSQ document in June 20 and submitted June 23 2021, Please I need to know how long it takes to get the CSQ because i believe that is the only thing we need to be able to get our COPR? any idea pleaseee

Usually CSQ take 2 to 6 months max but I have seen many people who got whitin 2 months good luck
