Thank you for the reply.

I've tried it with the uci, application, and receipt # and still doesn't work.

When i tried checking my father's other immigration application this way it hadn't worked either until i was able to successfully link it to my online account.
H&C you can’t link with your Cic account . You have to check with payment receipt number or file number.this way it will only show if it’s just received or in process.

Thank you for that!

My question is: once I get the acknowledgment letter with the Application # on it, is that when I am able to start checking the status or is it when the stage 1 processing has been completed?
You supposed to check the status once you have your acknowledgement letter with application number on it. That’s how I was able to check .

Hi again !
I know this group started to people where as its name is : H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim.
and I know this is repeat question, but I'm quite worry on this, as I have heard that people who have Failed Refugee and then applied to H&C, and who got PR Based on H&C, they still can't go back to visit parents in home country!
So do you know or who knows about this information, and how we can check that, so in case we got the PR, and can go visit family back in home country?

Thanks

Well Actually that what I was thinking, and hope you are right, as I consulted a lawyer yesterday, and he was worry about this too, he had shown me some cases that some people have on the same boat and had PR, then they been caught in the airport , where the immigration officer asked him to hand their PR, mentioning that principal's UCI' number was opened on refugee status, and his claim that his life in danger in home country, so how he was able to re-visit his country after this, and his immigration started claiming as a refugee even it refused and has got PR based on H&C!

and I'm still not sure about this, and still want to not believe that since the refugee claim is refused. I want to check that myself, but do you know any reliable source on this?

It is my understanding that when a person is landed it is under a category such as CR1 (Convention Refugee) or ND2 (usual for an H&C). While a person may have had a claim that wasn't positive, and then was granted permanent residence under H&C, this shouldn't have a legal impact, but some CBSA officers might give you a hard time about it, I suppose.

There is a legal recourse for the CBSA, I believe, when Convention Refugees return to the country of persecution where they can look to vacate the positive refugee decision and the permanent residence that went with it.

Thanks, Bornlucky, but How I can check that as you suppose and to be in the safe side? is there a way to check?
I need to check with CBSA, so do you have any contact of them with this?
