Anyone here able to help with resources or sharing their path through H&C as victim of FV?
Yes it has changed a lot. The processing time 24 months nowdays is only for AIP. The processing time for PR is probably 3-4 years.Would try to find more recent cases if possible because H&C has changed quite a bit in the past 6-12 months in response to reduced quotas.
I imagine, and it's in Quebec so it doesn't help either. It's for a protected person with a valid TRP - FV. I wonder if they are indeed speeding up these cases or just rushing to reject the most they can to clear the quotas. It's so hard to find insights about actual cases of people who dealt with FV and not just general info on how to get help.Yes it has changed a lot. You didnt hear “we are processing your background check”? If you didnt hear that, probably means it was sent to an office by the filtering officer but hasnt really been touched by an officer yetHi everyone,
I've got a question regarding my application and I would appreciate any help understanding the status of my application
I've submitted my application online at the beginning of the June. (I did turn ON email notifications) Haven't received AOR.
After a while I called IRCC and they said they received it, but no one opened the file yet and processing has not yet began. (Which explained why there is no AOR) They also gave me a temporary application number, which I could use when I call them next time. Since it is temporary number, I had two letters at the beginning instead of usual one (XH at the beginning)
Follow up to Mid-End of July. I called the number to get a robot response on the phone regarding my status by entering my application number. It didn't came through as there is no valid application type that starts with X, so I decided to proceed with H and entered the rest of my application number - Success, the system found it, and then said the same as the agent before, they received it but have not reviewed and began processing.
Closer to mid August, did the same check up through the phone but my application disappeared. (System couldn't find the application with this number anymore)
However, today I did the same and it got recognized again, but this time with a different message, (Reminder, the first one was that they received it but has not yet reviewed and began processing it)
This one said the following:
The application status you'll hear based on the most recent information available.
Application was received on June #, if we need more information from you, or once the final decision has been made, we will contact you
System said,
We are reviewing if you meet eligibility requirements
we do not need additional documents
You do not need a medical exam, we will send you a message if this changes
you do not need interview.
we do not need your fingerprints, we will send you a message if this changes
Based on that, where is my application? Because I've read that those messages mean a lot. (Still haven't got AOR, more than 2 months, nothing online, nothing on the portal.) Thanks.
Wouldn't get background check with no biometrics done .You didnt hear “we are processing your background check”? If you didnt hear that, probably means it was sent to an office by the filtering officer but hasnt really been touched by an officer yet

AOR in 5 months? Dont hyperbolize. It takes atmost 2AOR taking around 5 months and processing is many years. After you get AOR it will likely be over a year from then before your file even gets looked at unless you are rare case which gets rejected quickly (a very small number are approved quickly when it is a life or death emergency for example). The program needs significant reforms because a processing time of likely at least 7 years at this point to clear the backlog of applications isn’t really feasible.
Theres a little black spot on the sun todayLmao "you are a clown"
No, just what's in the message. Isn't that at least mean that I should have received AOR by now? Since it's been already reviewed by someone and forwarded to someone? You didnt hear “we are processing your background check”?
