I called IRCC and automatic message replied regarding my application status as below. So what does it mean, it means that they haven`t started to process yet? I already gave my finger prints btw.

Application status: We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results: You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.
Review of additional documents: We do not need additional documents.
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics: We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
When you hear this message in automated phone system that means they have started processing your application and your file is assigned to officer. You will get decision within few months.

Hello, please what are the requested documents after AIP? I just got an email from them
the documents are listed on AIP letter, copy of passport, married certificate etc, and around 2 weeks or so you get the medical exam request.
After you send it to them...wait and wait..
I've send it all in August 2... after that....not even a merry Christmas.

Yup seems like they changed something very recently with stage 2 processing, it just has stopped completely, the last portal email was received by Oct 10 residential address request and they already got their PR, after that nothing

I got my address request on Oct 30th and silence after that

It seems that they are not working on HC cases at the moment. Who knows what happens.

They are still landing people but there is a big backlog from 2024 of P2. 2024 applications are going to take up a substantial amount of the quota for 2025. The numbers just don’t add up so hopefully they will be announcing reforms soon.

Hang in there, friends. This is the only thing we can do right now.
I’m almost 38 months into this process and still waiting (AIP May 2024, awaiting CSQ since August).
Thankfully, we have this platform where we can support each other and share our concerns.
Wishing all of us patience and strength as we navigate this journey together!

Hi Guys,

10 Jan 2025, I submitted my H&C
03 Feb 2025, got email back to pay more for biometric fees which I paid on the same date and updated with the receipt.
06 Feb 2025, got email back with a letter confirmed that my H&C application was received by IRCC H&C in Vancouver.

question: I do not know if I can apply an Open Work permit with the letter I just got that confirm my H&C was received???
Please help me know if you experienced with this

Thank you guys

Work permit just after AIP (first stage approved). Take 12-20 months.
