Hello Everyone.
Do any of you know where is the background check process? At the begin or end.
I called the IRCC today and she said background check in progress but she didn’t tell me what I passed and what is remaining.

The background check started when IRCC received the applications and they focus status of background result when coming to end of proceeds. Which step by step >
first home country background which they asked you previously then RCMP result then Securty check. There is no time frame for Background check. But.70% of background check completed with in. 1 months or less if clean criminal check

My lawyer said,
It's hard to say, sometimes they do it at the beginning of the process, and sometimes they do it at the end.
If it's the H&C it could take another year typically, maybe 6 months. We had an H&C that was submitted in July 2022, and we just got stage 1 this week, a year and a half later.

I applied for H &C June 2023.
I also apply for PRRA Feb 2023.
I was thinking they should have done some work when they processed PRRA and get a faster result because of that but it seems it doesn’t make that much difference.

I applied in April 2023, i thought you receive approval for stage 1 last week.

No matter when u apply current time process total 20 months Incase if you pass 2 month contact your MP with proof of time processed pass. She will expedites the files accurately
Best to email MP only when process passed

Hey FNU, your lawyer has said the fact, I'm still waiting for background check to be completed since June 2023. After A.I.P in May 2023.

Processing time was 18 months when I applied for it.

yeah me too, now its 20 months. Does anyone has same time as me . i applied in April 2023 AOR - 5 June 2023

PR approval from IRCC on October 31,2023
Replied to the IRCC email with necessary information on November 02, 2023
Added Photos&Address on PR Portal on November 04,2023

I am currently awaiting for ecopr and my work permit has expired. I applied for work permit extension on april still processing. Does anyone know how long it will take to receive ecopr and possibly why my work permit is taking so long to come?

It's my first application and I applied on February 23, 2023
