Guys just want to ask what is Background Verification means ? Thanks a lot
Police certificate
Background verification consists of two components: one is criminality and the other is security screening. The former is your police records from other countries you've lived in and an RCMP check for your time in Canada (which is automatic and quick if there is no hits due to name similarity. exception is when for any reason your finger prints are needed in which case you'll be delayed until you've completed the requirement). The security part can be relatively quick or lengthy depending on demographics and is conducted by the Canadian Security Intelligence Service.

Thank you for the detailed response. I appreciate it

Hi
I am unable to get police certificate from a country where I stayed 6 years. (not my home country)
They need valid passport copy; and as a failed refugee claimant I dont have my passport with me. It was seized and CBSA have it; it is also expired. So I can't renew my passport in order to apply to Police certificate.

I guess I have to ask for exception! Is it good or bad?

Please advice
Thanks

Timeline:

2. Acknowledging of Receipt August 20, 2018.
3. Started Processing on July 30, 2020.
4. Aip Aug 21 2020
5. Medical instructions and other documents requested on August 23, 2020.

It is states in the second stage email that you are not exempted not to send a PCC. That is one of the major requirement to meet the statutory requirements of IRPA

I don't know you referring to which country?
I need it from Bahrain (middle east) It is clearly mention on forms they need valid passport, Id, old passport copies etc
I think PRRA approved is different from H&C; with PRRA you get protected person status.

Hi guys I just want to know. Does a person need to give his/her lawyer H&C application updates. Like paystubs and work letter to prove you were working during pandemic. Or can one just update on their own. and if so how does one update

If you have AIp take a copy of it and there a form they will hand to You to fill out said you need your passport or copy of it they will give your copy of passport with notary
Stamps of cbsa man
Or give your passport
I went to cbsa with my friends for interpretation I did all this they call few days later they hand him his passport and drive license with stamps on
I hope this information could help you
