Hello! i would like to ask if it's possible for me to work in Canada. I am 29 years of age a filipino, graduate of 4 years computer science, and currently residing in the Philippines operating my own internet cafe business, i've never been in Canada but I have relatives there in Toronto.

Please help, thanks alot! :D

If you want to work in Canada, the first step is to find an employer in Canada who is willing to offer you a job. That employer must then obtain an approved Labour Market Opinion:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/employers/lmo-basics.asp

Once you have the approved LMO, you can then apply for a work permit. If the work permit is approved, you can then come to Canada to work for that employer.

Hi Scylla,

I have a question. LMO and work permit are two validations that need to be cleared to work legally in canada right? correct me if i am wrong : LMO is more like depat of labour who approves my application and later with that approval i go to immigration office andask for a work permit(visa). so there is a possibility of visa being denied?

thank you very much scylla for fast response. :-*

Can you give me some idea or tips on how to find an employer in Canada? thanks again!
